Duster : Looks Overpriced to me.
Trax dosent have jump seats its like duster .
I brought trax , Xalpha, nissan duster etc. to the discussion as OP has mentioned that he has TD the renault duster too as a part of the car hunt.

]That's the DNA of 'Punekar' [evil]
That's why you are my first ever forum friend[glasses] , though we haven't seen each other.

Yes, I will TD Aria also.
To me , Aria appeared like a sophisticated boggie of a train when sat on middle row .While I felt like sitting on thorne in the mid row of storme .

I was tempted to suggest you used xuv but refrained myself due to brake replacement and suspension noise , electronics problems of first gen. Xuv .Reports of new generation xuv are yet to be discussed.

Hi surfer,

Test Driving the Aria is like getting into a big car. The first time its like -what the hell , its all over the place.
pls do appraise yourself of the driving style of this vehicle. Otherwise test drive it at least twice before making up your mind.
It took me two test drives to get this thing going and seeing that its really a lovely car to drive.
Cheers

I liked duster exteriors but at the given price point it is simply too much overpriced.

[:)] Hope we can meet on any upcoming pune meet.

Lets see , at least I can have TD.

This option is also on my mind, but I don't know my family members will like to shell 10 L on a used car [sleep] Last year I had seen one 5k driven XUV for sale on Carwale.

With an OTR budget of 10+ lakhs I wouldnt bother with anything second hand (unless its a very fancy choice )

If you prefer FE it should be Ertiga!
Else Storme! You anyways were gung-ho about the Storme!

If you can wait you could check out XUV W4 option - it should launch shortly as production is underway.

Hi Surfer,

I would suggest new Innova which surely will meet your needs. Innova is the only vehicle for which you don't hear a single negative remarks from it's owners.

Pretty soon enough at the dealerships, mahindra wont take it too long to get this into production which i hope they are already and soon would be seen at dealerships.
A cousin works for mahindra, will try to know if any inputs are available.

Sounds good, be ready to have long thread then Safari storme LX Vs XUV W4 [lol]

However, although the spec has been finalised internally, Mahindra has not yet green-lighted this new variant for showrooms. This is because it wants to see if the W6 and W8 variants (now with lower prices thanks to the new ground clearance rating) manage to re-ignite the sales charts. Mahindra is looking at a target of about 3,000 units a month, and if it can meet this with the existing models alone, the W4 will be kept on hold. [cry]

I dont think that's going to happen in the prevailing market situation, they will have to launch the W4 to mitigate the situation.

I will wait for it anyway. Will be good for M&M if it comes before diwali.

BTW does any one know what is current discount on Storme?

For Eartiga it is 15k cash + 10k Exchange.

It might be costly but is an excellent option buddy. Comfort levels are very high,
excellent resale value (Even after clocking 1lakh kms one can get 70-80% of the value), very low maintenance, has adequate driving pleasure and you get the added advantage of Toyota reliability. Think about it mate. Its one of the safest option in MUV segment.

Sankar
