Replying to my earlier comments,

I have shortlisted few of the bicycles,

- BTWIN VELO ROUTE FIT 700
- Mongoose Artery Comp
- Firefox Road Pro Street

Although all belong to wide range of different price tag. Please comment.
Hi,
Where you found the Btwin Bike. Avoid FireFox. Mongoose is First choice and Btwin is second. Try the cycle first, height is most important

@P3T3R Congrates to you. Please share your experiences on long distances cycling. The longest distance I have done is 160 KMs. From Bangalore-Mysore. I have not gone beyond that. Been thinking of doing Bangalore-Coorg this time.

Hi friends,

I have an issue with front brake in my canyon. One of the brake arm rubs the front tyre while applying front brake. Can anyone please suggest what to do??

thanks in advance.

Pheew no response.

Anyway i have solved the problem. I have simply inserted one extra washer on the brake pad nut where brake arm was rubbing the tyre. Voila issue solved. Now no rubbing [:)] .

BTW, for the last 2 - 3 days i have been reading about clipped pedals. Anyone using these pedals?

Nice to see active cyclists on the form. I have been cycling to work for past 1 year. The ride is pretty short. The major problem that I have with cycling in Bangalore is dust. I have not found a good affordable face mask or air filter. Most of the options are pretty expensive and online studies show that they are not effective.

I do enjoy 40-50 rides out of the city. Bangalore has a lot of cycling groups, there is a ride happening every weekend. Whenever I get a chance I join in.

Cycles I own.

1. Hercules Act 110 Plus : Hybrid
2. Montra Rock 1 : Off road
3. BSA Kruz : Road Bike
4. Hoptown 2 : Folding bike

Montra is the most versatile bike of the lot.

Always wanted to repaint my LA Sovereign Alfa Bicycle.
My friend told that he would paint it and he painted it in a joker green colour[frustration].
I painted it in Matte Black Colour and some idiots dropped some paint while repainting the house we live in.
Not ready for another Matte Black Repaint (Budget Issues[evil]).
So looked at all options in Metallic and saw 'Hammer Tone Crimson'. It is like a mixture of Pink and Red. Looked Awesome but very girlish, actually I reaized it after only painting.
And I said the shopkeeper to give me 100ml clear coat. I bought it. After applying, I came to know, it was Clear Varnish and not Clear Coat[frustration].
I also tested it on my Splendor's tank and it gave a shining look initially but after drying, it had a blurring effect.

Recently got Giant Cypress bicycle. 700c tyres, superb for city rounds. Here is my ride.
Sir, arent you the same person in Cyclists.in with the name 'B.R. Sadashiva Rao' ?
You posted a BSA SLR Restoration project there.
