Re: Kinetic Honda DX/ZX Thread.

At least, I saved my Kinetic from going out of my hand for now[:D]
So, Put in Acetone with Petrol (with 2T oil for sure!) and the results are here: http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...-acetone-performance-report-2.html#post427767

Mod job in to-do list currently is:
Making the stock exhaust free flowing!
Will drill all the cores (AFAIK, there are 3 cores) inside the stock exhaust and the engine should feel much better after this mod.

BTW, side panels vibrate a lot. They make a girrrrrrrrr sound. All bolts and nuts are perfect. Which are the things I need to check?

Re: Kinetic Honda DX/ZX Thread.

Dropped that exhaust plan (mileage issues[anger]).
Instead, looking for better lighting bulb and found this:
SENCART BA20D 55W 1350~1485lm White Light Halogen Motorcycle Headlamp - (DC 12V) - Worldwide Free Shipping - DX
Can I put this bulb? See the pictures below:

It's name is 'SENCART BA20D 55W 1350~1485lm White Light Halogen Motorcycle Headlamp - (DC 12V)'
It is 55W (I am currently running on Bajaj type 55/60W Bulb[glasses], so this shouldn't be a problem I think).
Can I put this bulb on my Kinetic?
Thank You!

Re: Kinetic Honda DX/ZX Thread.

Well, here's your Quick reply-
1)The Bulb Looks like a Cheap Immitation of HIR (Not HID) Bulbs. Notice the HID like Return wire on Top.
2) There's no glare shield on Low beams like on H4 Bulbs, So it will blind oncoming traffic.
3)I'll suggest you invest in some LED Spot lamps rather than this bulb.
4) The Bulb base will not fit

H4 Bulb for reference (Notice the shield on Upper filament)

P.s- look how 9 of 10 manufacturers Mislead folks like you by calling their cheap incans as HID and xenon.

P.s2-

Something for looks.

Re: Kinetic Honda DX/ZX Thread.

But Mr. Bhvm,
My Kinetic doesn't have a battery and the RR generates higher power than it should give normally (thats why even 50/60W bulb works flawlessly, if it produces correct amount, it wouldn't generate the brightness I think).
Can I connect and use LEDs with high power RR(alternating, see Mr. Deville_56's DRL LED Strip got burnt with the RR in his Kinetic Ownership review)???
And, Mine is a normal bulb type, not the H4 type.

Did you mean this:

Re: Kinetic Honda DX/ZX Thread.

what I meant is, putting other types of bulbs will result in less light on the road and more in oncomers eyes (glare ).

the bulb you said now will at best produce torch type pattern.

why don't you upgrade to car type h4?

option 2-
leave the headlight as is but add small auxiliary lamps on your scooter.

option 3-
use led strips as drl and decoration.

Re: Kinetic Honda DX/ZX Thread.

My Mechanic says that he has a H4 55/60W Car bulb. He charges total Rs. 100 including bulb and labour.
Is it the correct cost?

Re: Kinetic Honda DX/ZX Thread.

yes, the cost seems correct. and so are the auxiliary lamps.
beware that the power consumption is quite high at 55w. I'd suggest you get 2 smaller 25w for better looks. (pair )

Re: Kinetic Honda DX/ZX Thread.

But no 25w lights are there in eBay. I searched and only found this only.
But as I said earlier, my Kinetic is currently running on Bajaj Type 50/60W bulb and the bulb has superior brightness.
I tried putting 35/35W Halogen bulb, bulb blew off.
Tried putting stock again, this also blew off at just 25 km/h[frustration]

Re: Kinetic Honda DX/ZX Thread.

unfortunately you're 1200km away otherwise I would've sent you some.

anyways get the wiring of your scooter checked, seems there a voltage issue that's blowing the bulbs.

Re: Kinetic Honda DX/ZX Thread.

Where are you?
If you dont want to disclose it in public, then PM me.

My dad says that before 5-6 yrs, bulbs used to blow of if I drive at just 15 km/h.
Then he took it to mechanic and done something and the bulbs started to blow off at 30-40 km/h.
I checked and analyzed that Bajaj type and Kinetic type bulbs and their holders are same, then I got a question Why I cant use this on my Kinetic? Then went to a local spare shop and bought a Bajaj type 55/60W for Rs. 20 and the brightness and the life of this bulb is awesome for its cost.
Recently, the low-beam of the Bajaj bulb blew off at 65-70 km/h. Still, I am using the same bulb.

Re: Kinetic Honda DX/ZX Thread.

70 kmph on old scooter is too much. better stick below 50 bro.
anyways I think you should go with rs 20 bajaj bulbs as you say brightness is good and so is life.

meanwhile, my h4 bulb mod is holding up well after all these weeks of regular use.

try such aux lamps

Re: Kinetic Honda DX/ZX Thread.

But Mr. Bhvm, I ripped it till 95 kmph (speedo indicated) after putting HP Filter.

From where the aux lamp gets power? From headlight wires? Direct connection with RR? Or some other?

I will post a pic on headlight brightness of the current bulb.
