Hi guys, last month took my car for second service at 9700 kms on the odo.
Total Bill 4100.
I think Koncept Hyundai have taken more money than usual, can anyone help me with same who have done with the second service.

What all work did they perform on your car ? My petrol verna's 2nd service bill was 1050rs so obviously they charge you extra.

Hi allhyundaicars, they have done engine oil & its filter, wheel balancing, wheel alignment, fuel injector cleaning, car lubication and engine flushing.
I think oil change and wheel alignment and balancing cost around 2500 which is ok.
But car lubrication, injector cleaning and engine flushing they have charged extra from me around 1.5k. I have reported complaint when there call came and they sent me complimentary car washing voucher, but I will take this hing to Hyundai when they call.

One question, from which service station you got verna serviced?

Ask them what is car lubrication. I think engine flush was not needed but it clears all the gunk in the engine area. When the engine is new there are metal particles which flow along the oil. (After some time there's a lot of gunk)


injector cleaning was not needed at just 10k. But again it's not bad that they did this. Leave it for now, next time just follow the manual. Or just ask here what all things are needed to be done.

nah don't think so. injector cleaning must have costed around 400 rupees. they remove the injectors and clean them with a chemical solution in a machine. it costs around 200 bucks at a local car market without labor.

for engine flush i'm guessing anywhere between 500-800 rupees.

Xcent owners what is FE you are getting City and Highway for VTVT or CRDI versions ?

Recently I drove from Vadodara to Noida, about 1200 Kms on my new Xcent 1.2 S Petrol and returned back to Vadodara wirh F.E of - 18.6 KMPL !, which was very very amaze"ing" for me !!! Initially I did not belived my own calculations, but latter when few of my colleagues and Brother and father did the calculations and arrived at almost similar figures, I was Amaz"ed" again ! . But that's true for me. Most of the driving was between 80-110 KMPH and mostly on highways only (Drove very little in city), hence I guess the F.E was great. How ever, in last 2 Months have been driving within City, and FE is close to 16.89 KMPL, so I guess, It's good for me.

whats your opinion of the stereo system in the car,... i feel sound is not as good as my old sony system,,, i feel the bass is low and over all has a metalic sharp feel... the Boom Boom is missing

Well, Speakers are surely not that good, but Still good enough for sometime. Will not support very loud music, but we enjoy it a lot with decent volume and beats.

May be I'll change the speakers in next couple of years with better one's from Sony !

Need Some suggestion, the front grill of Xcent, is quite open and With Radiator / AC right in front, ?I think it could be problematic in few years with all the stones, dirt, flies, insects, Leafs, etc getting stuck in front of that. Has any one made any Modifications to overcome this Issue. I'm quite sure Hyundai is well aware of this, and they designed it that way. But , still just an Doubt... Can any one just Help with this.

you can install mesh grille from inside and Paint in back. I think vishnu has done the same on his honda amaze.

@ BVHM : Yes dear, I had read that review on how he did it all by him self !! But my doubt is that, can that be done in XCENT, as I'm not sure if that can be done by single person, without any professional help ! . My issue is even if I manage to open the Bumber, will it Fit right back in proper manner ? Any Suggestions ?

Mate, The Owner of Amaze has a big heart (Courage) and has extensively modified his ride including cutting the panels, Drilling etc.
IMHO, as your car is new and in warranty, I would suggest you stay away from any extensive mods that may land you in trouble.

My XUV had different problems which are totally dependent on Warranty-

warranty is a very precious thing. All my mods are subtle and involve no wire cutting or Drilling.

1. A/C is more than enough and even now at summers, I never put it beyond 2nd position. It is that good! Not like old i10.
2. 13 at city, 17 at highway
3. Nope.
4. No. Apart from stock reverse camera, don't buy anything from them. They are damn expensive.
5. No idea, but here in my place it comes around 6.3L and after discounts(if any), it will be some 20k lesser.
