Gagan,

How much did you pay for it. If possible, please share the breakup. Did you go for external insurance because it is less costlier.

Hi mail2gsyadav, please find below the price breakup of my Xcent SX
Ex- Showroom - 625673
Registration - 48805
Insurance - 19224
0% Dep. Cover - 4340
Logistics Charges - 6990
Basic Kit - 1850

Apart from this I have opted for paint protection & underbody coating (Rs. 6200) and illuminated scuff plates (Rs. 2500) from the dealer. I have taken insurance from the dealer itself but when I got the insurance policy the premium mentioned is Rs. 5500 less than taken by us, so we had given request for refund of the excess money taken and they have made the cheque within 2 days after giving request to us.

Returning 5500 is good from dealer (which dealer?) side. Did you ask why dealer quoted higher premium? Which insurer is the insurance from? IDV would be approx. 5.9 lk, I think.

ICICI is charging 13k for IDV 6 lk of SX(O). That's why I am thinking of outside insurance. But if dealer can provide in 14-15k. Iam ok as it will be hassle free while claiming.

Hi guys, yesterday I have gone to local shops to enquire about armrest, but I couldn't found any of the armrest matching with the interior colour so decided not to go for the same [anger]. I have also ordered Autotrust bucket fit seat covers, which will be installed by today or tomorrow.

I am also in favour of taking insurance from outside from companies like HDFC Ergo or ICICI Lombard with which we have good experience in taking claims.
But Koncept Hyundai does not agree with point as the car is in waiting and we need the car early so we have gone with their insurance only.

Insurer is Liberty Videocon Insurance and Koncept Hyundai is the dealer.
I got a total premium of Rs. 18,100 with zero dep. cover.
Libert Videocon is also good, few days back at GT Karnal road I met with an accident in which my left taillight got broken and paint also have gone from left side of rear bumper. Its good experience with them also but all dealers does not have cashless facility of the same.

I think you should take the insurance from outside as it will save your money. Please do take zero dep. cover for your car as it saves your money like I have saved around 4000 of mine in the claim due to zero dep.

@gagan

What are all the items you got as freebie? I got only some cheap rubber mat and not even mudflaps.

^^ Even a car perfume and idol from dealer will go long way and make the dealer experience a little good. By labelling it hot selling and telling that because of that no freebies?

hi all to Xcent owners. hope you all are enjoying driving your cars.

I just bought the car petrol version "S" model.. Its a nice car with some cool features , amazing pickup and good torque at low speeds/ gear. In fact for the first time after a lot of years I could start to drive a car straight from 3rd gear, which is good which means lees gear use in city driving.

I am facing a problem.. (for which i am seeking to find out more). I am feeling the steering to be very hard at higher speed (above 40Kmph) has anybody faced similar issue. or i want to know his is how a new electric driven PS works. I just talked to the hyundai guys at trident and i am not satisfied with their answers, your feed back would be very helpful to resolve the problem. thanks for your feedback and help Regards Suresh

Congrats Gagan, i also personally favour xcent over amaze and desire

Regards
You are dead right

diesel engine not a preferred option for Hyundai Xcent SX VTVT" Ownership Review

Guys avoid going for Diesel version of this car. I personally feel its underpowered at low RPM/gears, petrol engine is perfect. They should have gone for 1.3 ltr-1.4ltr diesel engine

^^ I never had any such issue and I own S Petrol. May be to overcome steering issues reported iin Verna, Hyundai did this so that the highway stability is pretty good. So far, I am not feeling like this and IMO, the steering weighs up excellent at higher speeds.
