ive done some checking with the handbrakes it does move unless its above 75%+ engaged if its fully to the top it doesnt move. I tried this by letting go of the clutch with no throttle the car moved slowly. Do check and let me know. Perhaps they would need to check the handbrake cable.

I tried after engaging it to 100% still no use [frustration]

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

did they open the centre console? the place where the gear shifter and handbrake is. Could be the cable wasnt fixed well, have they done anything to the rear brake system? the handbrakes are not on the same line and are not hydraulic i assume.

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

My patience has never been tested this far. Had to do a trip to madurai. Took delivery of the car and was happy to find the gear as smooth as a new car. But the clutch seemed a little heavier .. not unbearable.

Parked the car in a restaurant. Had refreshments, reversed..[cry][anger]. Those idiotic reverse sensors seem to be reacting to microbes on them. They shout it out loud even if nobody is out there for half a mile behind the vehicle. This is the second time i have this problem. Now i have a feeling the Verna with all these problems is going to be "FUTURELESS" rather than "FEATURELESS".

Got doubts if this car will make it to the ussual 4 year mark with me.

ashok i have doubts it will even make it past the 2 years warranty. Seems hyundai dont seem to bother about proper quality control and testing. Wonder what would eb the state of the elantra, cant say of the sonata as theres hardly a pinch of owners.

that's bad. but sometimes even after applying hand break some cars move a lil bit then stop. but if you say it's not at all working then get it checked asap.

same here , i too have to use it for 4-5 years. i have noticed the sensors beep even if there's a cloth hanging.

and did you see if you had a small speed breaker or anything ? because even if there's something lying low , the sensors beep.

the state of elantra will be the same as verna. when it'll launch , a huge hype then it'll become over hyped car and then another nickandre , ****azooka , allhyundaicars will report about elantra problems.

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

Atleast all you have reverse sensors which work and beeps. My car sensor are beepless for more than 8 months now. Never gone for sensor replacement to service centre. But now i think i should show this problem to the service guy.
