Good pricing by Hyundai. Its nearly ₹1L cheaper than Honda City ZX and few thousands cheaper than Honda City VX and it even undercuts Vento and Rapid too.As I said before,my pick would be 1.6 SX+ AT Diesel and 1.6 SX(O) Diesel.
At last the new gen Verna is launched. Hyundai has priced it right between Ciaz and City. The prospective buyers can now take a test drive and finalize their decisions.
I have received an invitation from my dealer that there will be formal opening ceremony of New Gen Verna today at 4:00pm at dealership.
The introductory prices seems to be borderline close to Ciaz. Hope the hike wouldn't be very high. The OTR for petrol SX seems to be around the 10.6 range for Delhi as per carwale.
Beautiful car
the Front and Rear looks AMAZING, far better than the earlier versions.
But on Safety front, why doesn't Hyundai provide Brake Assist,ESP,Hill hold control? not even on the Top-End.

It is surprising we don't get these essential safety features in futuristic cars like New Gen Verna as well :-). I can never understand why Maruti, Hyundai and Honda never add these features in Indian versions. They deny saying based on research customers ask for start/stop button and sunroof etc. But look at how City ZX with 6 airbags is selling in high volumes. Don't know when these folks will wake up. I also don't see any auto journalist asking this question as well during launches.
I was hoping Verna will include ESP and Hill Hold but looks like they are pushing customers towards Elantra if you want AT, 6 airbags, ESP and Hill Hold. Even CRETA does not come with this combination.
Looks of the car is very sober and interior with two tone actually spoiling luxury look. But feature set is rich to attract customers.
