Hyundai Trio: Santro, i10 and Verna!

The condensor had a leak that's why it was dirty. Got the part exchanged for 1700 rupees.
And the guys at sc changed it so i don't know the exact location.

And you know every car's is good in someway or another :)

Santro is really low maintenance. But my personal favorite is the i10 the ride quality , engine performance and overall comfort is good for a car like i10.

we never got the i10's ac serviced so maybe that's why :\ the adviser suggested to service the car's ac every year.

i10's giving 10 kmpl with 100% AC. in a month will get the car serviced ,

injectors cleaning , throttle body and lot's of other things.

and on 22\06\2012 it's showing 55000KM.

so 8000 kilometers in roughly 90 days.

How much was the engine oil ?

I pay about 50 dollars(~2700rs) for my car's engine oil ( 10W50 Fully synthetic by Penrite)

don't compromise with engine oil.

i normally put Total Quartz engine oil and i never saw the grade that i used it was 850rs for 3 liters and the service center charges some 650 rupees for santro ,


and dude you have a skyline and i saw your thread in which you mentioned you always get the servicing done in front of you since your engine parts are costly , you also mentioned spark plugs

so i do the same , get the car service in front of my eyes from outside.

my last i10's service with any service center was in october 2010 , so i really don't know what they will charge for i10. but this time will get the service done from the service center. its better to get all the things checked from the service center.

jeez only goes to show how cheap oil is out of india, over here i paid INR 3600 for mobil1 0w40 4litres fully synth. And that oil you used 10w50 i assume its a racing oil should cost way more say 4000-5000.

total quartz is good oil chevy uses it in my aveo, speaking of which need to book a service appointment for it.

i have CNG installed in santro. see the monthly running of santro that i posted above.

THE ODO SHOWED 47000KM on the date of service 25\03\2012
and on 22\06\2012 it's showing 55000KM.

so you can say CNG is justified.

i know its really in bad shape and all this happened within a month.

i was thinking of doing all the work from outside , today i saw a crack developing on the windshield , so the windshield has to be replaced , will give the car at insurance.

rear bumper + boot - 5000 after insurance.
fender - some 1000 rupees
windshield - some 1000 rupees

i have a question - will the insurance company give claim for both the above charges + windshield ?

Bumper Detached and Bent Inside : Rs.400
Dicky Damaged (with a Street Light) : Rs.500
Bonnet Dent : Rs.700
Broken Front Bumper + Bonnet + HeadLight + Grill + Fog Lamp + Windscreen (I hit a DOG at 160kph!) : Rs.2000.

So, I feel getting the work done from outside will consume less money and less time.

santro's daily commute - 80-100 kilometers.
i10's daily commute - 20-40 kilometers.
verna's daily commute - depends when i take it out. i prefer santro \ i10 if they are available.

i know if i get the work done from outside it will cost less , some 3000 less.

but as i said windshield has to be replaced and from outside its costing some 3000-3500 , insurance will charge just 1000 rupees.

so the price will be the same.

from outside - dent removal + bumper change + paint + windshield = 6000 rupees.

under insurance = same 6000 rupees. so its better to give under insurance

at 160 km/h you hit a dog and you had this charges? my verna hit a dog twice at 30 km/h
and i needed a new bumper and fog lamp both times had to spent 8000 bucks.
This is why i still love my faithful aveo.
