Dear All,

Need some advise please. Noticed my car's MID getting reset automatically with all the numbers going back to ZERO! This has happened twice in two days now. For the first time, it got reset while the car was idle at one of the traffic signals and today it happened again after I parked my car in the office and checked it while coming back from work.

Has it happened with anybody's else's car also? Does anyone know the possible reason/s behind it? Want to understand the issue before I take it to service center.

Yes this is a common issue in Grand i10 as well as Xcent. It is related to some software problem. Try showing it to the ASS.

Ameyam - He meant tripmeters, engine running time and similar information (not odometer).

It may be an issue with sensor-software error, recoding the same will do,take to the ASS.
Ohay.. I think I read about it somewhere. Thanks for your inputs again..

IS ECU and ECM same. I talked with the Hyundai guy. He will do the G Scan and if any problem is shown then he will do the reprogramming of ECM.
Will this help and do these guy accept the problem if found.

Dear please refer to roby's details on Page 9.
At the factory level, they will reprogramme the ECU as per the stock settings. Xcent is, by default, not a fast car. And I don't think it will behave in a different way, better is to get your remapping done at some known garage and set the maps according to your preference (which is a stronger low-mid end as I read from the posts). It is a sure shot way to get improvement in the car's behaviour.

But it is better to let the Hyundai guys check for any faults in the ECM. Maybe your (and Roby's) car is a one off case and a reprogramme might do the trick.

There is is a gap between rear glass and metal part in rear of grand just above where hyundai logo is. this gap does not have any beading and gets filled with dust /water that is hard to clean? how do you guys clean it ? should hyundai not have given any beading there. similar gap also in front where roof meets windscreen. unless you water hose down your car this gap is filled with dust

Sirji is it the first time you are owning a car? I guess this is your first car and hence so much curiosity. Although dust settles at these places but these minor trenches will never get filled with dust hence you can stay peacefully. In fact I would advise you to put these specific sections into the ignore list else you will end up wasting hours of time every week in just cleaning the corners. TStill if you are concerned then you can talk to come accessory guy who can help you with some vinyls but that will look ultra cheap and weird.

Don't worry, this Gap is present in most cars. You can buy a duster which will be helpful to remove any kind of dust or particles / dead leaf/twigs etc from the gap/corners. I use a duster for my Xcent.

My Apr-2014 Xcent has been showing check engine sign from past few weeks, so i bought the ELM327 mini to get more details.
Its showing the trouble code as P0141, O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1, Sensor 2).
Will get it checked this weekend. Has anybody else faced this problem? Considering the fact that our car has been driven for only 4000 km, a sensor malfunction is a bit annoying. Hopefully this thing is covered in warranty.

^^ Never faced this issue and never heard about this for Xcent. Hopefully it must be one-off case. Else, we might have seen a lot of such complaints. And yes, it will be replaced under warranty.
