Did you get extra headlamp bulbs? I took delivery today,dint get extra headlamp bulbs and mud flaps.
Usually they will keep spare bulb in glove box,but dealer told its not available in Grand

I couldnt get the car cover either did you? ,the dealer is saying that accesseries will be available in December only. How about the Antirust and Teflon coating? I am yet to do it.

Hi Parth.. I am planning to get seat covers for my Grand but could not find any options near my house apart from Hyundai guys. They have 2 options of covers..one costing 7500 and the other 14000. Not sure if i should buy covers from them . I am also planning to go for underbody at 3M which will cost me around 3500 Rs in a week or two. Are you also planning to get the seat covers done ?
I also have a query..sometimes while pulling the reverse gear i hear some noise from the front underbody..not sure what it is..Did you experience the same ? Could it be because of my foot still not set for this clutch as i also drive my Maruti 800 alongside occasionaly :(

Anshul many congratulations on your new grand, looks superb in this shade.
Do start your ownership thread.
Do check the clutch movement you are using, might be a lill bit early while releasing which does tend to make noice,which you hear that sound.If still the same persists do get it checked at your dealer.

Congrats Chesterchaz, and the color too looks awsome man.
As for the Reverse gear I do not head any such sound in my grand,please check your clutch movements,also make sure if you are trying to change to reverse only when the car is stand still.

Regarding accessories I've decided to wait a bit till some aftermarket options are available,till then enjoy with the OEM seats. Grand has very good fabric quality so you can proudly show it around.

I will also do the underbody in couple of weeks.
Is ist a petrol or diesel? Please mind the engine break in speed for initial period.

Mine is the same..Petrol Asta(O). Yes i do love the seats , that is the reason i am planning for covers so that i don't spoil the original ones.

Dude,see and enjoy them for a while first.
I am confused as to why protect the new seats with covers and keep them new if they are going to be covered always

I was little late in looking at your pics. Looks great. Specially the blue light illumination of the interiors looks cool..Can you comment on the Audio output? Also did you start using the 1GB internal storage?

Hi,The audio autput is average plus quality, volume is good enough to host a campsite party.
I have just learnet from the manual how to copy songs in the internal storage.

I think i am lugging the engine sometimes in an effort to not cross 2000-2500 rpm range .. Parth what are the optimum gear shift speed breaks/rpm range you are driving currently ?

I think you dont have to restrain yourself below 2500rpm. as per the manual you should avoid reving beyond 4000rpm. On a safer side I am not exceeding 3500 rpms.
Grand easily speeds at 100 KMPH at 5 th gear around 2500 rpm.

This initially happened with me for a day. I decided to go with my normal driving (i.e. get through 1st and 2nd quickly )and believe me unless you rev the engine hard with a heavy foot there is no chance of crossing 2500 rpm. If possible try to pay attention to the engine (sound) for initial period till you get pass the lugging.

I found out grand has power window functions for certain time after switching off the engine,i miss speed sensing auto door lock,would it be possible to activate it from dealer?

Well Same here, I have it on my list for the first service. As per the service manual the windows should lock after 15KMPH but doesnt happen actually

Hi Parth.

Yes. the manual says so but in the 1st and 2nd gear the engine noise becomes loud and also seeps inside the cabin as soon as i cross 2000 rpm. Is it something normal ?
