Sounds overpriced, as for front and rear guards, I wanted them but was told it would look abnormal on this type of car.

Just make sure your car belongs to the november and later batch. I think there was battery problem in september and october batches. Its just my openion and not backed by any facts or report. Just make sure you get car of a fresh batch.

Manual mentions clearly that no bumper guards should be installed ( regarding airbag effectiveness ) but magna varient doesnt have one so might be OK. bumper guard can save you from small scratches but wont help anything in bumper protection.

Thanks, I wanted it purely for bumper protection, as so many morons just crash into the bumper.

This Idea popped in my mind when I was banged, but couldnt do it die to rear parking sensors and Airbags at Front. However they will certainly protect your bumpers from those damages in city trffic e.g. rear ending in B2B traffic, specially from Autowallas and those small truckwalas [frustration].

I am not sure if any readymade fitment is available in this case. I suggest you go for the Innova styles ones like. Single horizontal bar at the rear,At front you have 2 options 1.Go for similar horizontal bar that covers entire bumber or an U shaped one in the center.

To be honest the bumper guard will look ugly for all cars except SUV's. And you cannot be sure that you wont get any damage after installing the guards. What about side areas/doors ? My car had lot of scratches because of crazy bikers. Alot of times these bikers used to flip my side mirrors.

We're in India.. no matter how much you protect your dearest ones. at some point we have to give up, because of crazy traffic rules, crazy auto/bus drivers and crazy bikers in India.

To avoid bumper accidents. Try to not hit the brakes hard. Move slowly and keep a distance, don't stick too close.

Enjoy your car as much as you can.

Just my 2cents.

Edit: A question to grand i10 folks, When i did the Sportz Test drive i noticed very hard brakes.
Now I'm little bit concerned about the hard brakes. Do you think i should tell them ( the dealer ) to adjust the brakes just to make sure it doesn't get too sensitive.

Edit #2: WINE RED looks sexy :)

Hi, Personally I never had problems with the sharp brakes (I dont call them hard, I am sure you too are not refering to force required to press brake paddle) after few Kms,
<50 you'll get used to it. But its a boon when some biker or autowala squeeze in moving city traffic. Just my personal openion.

I have rear sensors, and as someone said it may look ugly.

Sorry for confusing. Yes, i meant sharp brakes. The car just stops at its place when i gently press the brake pedal. Not sure about manual transmission. But this is what i experienced in automatic.

I'm pretty sure, i will get used to it at some point. But do you think it is better to adjust the brakes for now ? or let it be as it is and get used to it.. because mostly my drive is around crazy traffic. I don't want to cause any trouble.

Even the brakes will smoothen after the car has run but thats my experiance having driven @ 2700 Kms now. Once I had to travel 700Kms and we hired a driver for it.
He got adopted to the brakes within few Kms.
But yes If you are not comfirtable can try tinkering with advice from Hyundai Guys.

Yeah that's what my dealer said. I will get used to it once i start to drive. I hope it wouldn't cause any major issues for some time, until i get used to it.
I have my PDI on wednesday. I'll check with the brakes again and will see if that makes me happy.

My FE for first 200 KMs comes to be 13.5 KMPL. 50% in bumper to bumper traffic ( 2nd gear always) and 50% in moderate (mostly 3rd occasionally 4th gear) traffic conditions.

I feel its decent only. Your views.
