Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna VTVT SX (O) 2 Years and 30,000 Kms

Hey guys, well the showroom said it needs a new body shell and some more parts the estimate goes above the idv, and they were talking of total loss and salvage stuff, when i questioned them about the idv and that salvaging is their look out they faiked to provide me with some good answers.
My agent keeps calling to renew the insurance even tho he knows the car is damaged, he told me they havent declared total loss yet and if at all i will get after depreciating the idv by some 50%?
Apart from that he said the estimate is a 100% parts list and will be reduced by 50% depending on whats needed. So im in a fix and clueless.

Hi Nick

Sad to see a such well maintained thread is about to end in near future

Its due to good quality of Hyundai you get away with minor injury after such a mishap

Not sure why you cannot get full idv value after its written off ?why depreciation again?

Get well soon! Your thread is inspiration for all of us

Thanks sagar,
Previously by seeing how terrible the bumpers are and how badly my car got damaged in a parking i felt the quality is bad, but when the cabin stood its ground after such an impact i was happy. After all human life is way more important than a car.
And with this the car sacrificed itself to keep me and my friend safe i will always be thankful and love the car.
About the insurance i will wait till monday to hear back from the company on what they have decided. As per policy wordings it says i am supposed to get the idv specified on the valid policy and i will not let them off easily. Incase they choose to repair i wont settle for any less than a new body. From the looks of it my major damages are the body and trunkthen the rear axel and muffler. And one door seems bad. I guess the engine is fine

Very sad to hear about Your accident. But good to see you escaped from such mishap. The car looks badly damaged and in my opinion you should scrap the car by claiming insurance of IDV value.

Two weeks since the accident and insurance still is busy deciding on repair or total loss and over that says in such an accident there will be injuries please send medical reports. No clue why they need it. Haven't claimed medical from them

Surveyor was weird claims car toppled 3-4 times and that i was at higher speeds than what police report and my account stated. When my dad asked about getting a second opinion he says this is a car not a patient. Five days back they said thr engine and gear box is gone but as far as i remember we hit divider in reverse and before reaching the front seats the car flipped and skid across.
We are with bajaj allianz

Will get the payment next week.
So thats it the end of my verna journey of five years.

Hi Nick, I opened your thread expecting to read a happy long term ownership review and was quite shocked to read about your accident. Your car has sacrificed itself to save you both. Get well soon.
