Very sad end of such wonderful ownership thread. I remember the days when your ownership thread was in full swing started in 2011. we discussed a lot about this beauty right from its positives and negatives. Sadly now chapter is closing on sad note.
Myself considering to replace my verna. Waiting eagerly for HEXA.

Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna VTVT SX (O) 2 Years and 30,000 Kms

hey guys some sad update about the car.
yesterday i hit a pothole on the highway and the car started to loose control, tried braking but there was no feedback norfelt the car slowing down then i saw the car was going right to the divider i quickly turned left and the car over steered and started going in reverse and it the divider and overturned landing in incoming traffic road on the roof, managed to unbuckle my belts and open the door and get out of car folks came over and took me to a hospital, the only injuries i faced was a fractured collar bone and my friend just a minor cut on her fingers.
must say the amount i hate Hyundai's bumper quality, the car actually ended up saving my life and letting me walk away from it with just a fracture.
the car is now at the showroom being assessed and see if it will be written of or can be repairable and fit to drive again.
the car will be completing 5 years in sept and done 85600 km

Extremely sad... however you mentioned you applied brakes and it didnt work ?

Was it a brake failure or the burst tyre that the car just swayed off?

The alloy broke off and bent jamming the wheel, things happened in few seconds but felt like ten minutes, i remember seeing abs and brake lights on, no brake feedback.
I gave up trying to figure how this could have been possible and just moved on.
Insurance has paid us the IDV value whole thing was settled in 40 days from accident would have been sooner if not for the many holidays and weekends.
Have booked a new car and should have it by next week.
Wont be able to drive for a month more but il still try to post a review.

Its due to good quality of Hyundai you get away with minor injury after such a mishap
What quality you are talking about.?

The alloy broke off and bent jamming the wheel,
Nick bro, I haven't read this thread fully, eager to know if the alloys were OE or aftermarket?
Have booked a new car and should have it by next week.
Wish you early recovery.
Why the name of new car is kept secret?
