Hey on sunday i visited sector 17 for installing some accessories . I visited Laxman but Kavish was not there . Asked them prices for Llumar Sunfilms for sides , rear and back and they quoted 8k for all , wouldnt reduce a penny. Did some researching in other store and there was one called BEST automobiles . He recognized me since i had done my swift from him . For the same series of LLumar Sunfims , after bargaining they agreed for Rs 6700 !
Prices of electronic accessories were almost same everywhere . In BEST this is what i was quoted , Infinity reference series comps @ Rs 4250 per pair , 2 channel sony amp @Rs 3000 , Jbl 2 channel Rs 4000 , illuminated scuff plates Rs1400 all including fitting , Exterior Chrome finishing Rs4500-5000 !
For now i have just done the sunfilms . Will do the other upgrades probably next month when i receive my next paycheck ! I think i will be needing some help regarding the ICE , will ask about it later .

just meet knavish, the guy with the glasses is a moron acts over smart, ill give you his number if you want.
and why go in for sony? get jbl amp, sony isn't all that great in car audio.
and for chrome garnish 4500 is what i paid just bargain and get it lesser. are you sure you would like chrome on a white car?

Ok . For now i have the sun films and postponing the ice ICE upgrade for next month . Honestly i dont have much knowledge regarding amps . A simple pioneer HU and 2 coaxial speakers had done the job for me in our swift for past 3 years . I have decided on Infinity comps but cannot decide on amp , Whether to get a 2 channel amp or 4 channel or adding a sub later . I will bring up this issue when purchasing them next month .
Also does the installation of scuff plates require drilling or do they fit directly ?
For the chrome package , i just asked them out of curiosity . Have no plan installing them atleast for few months .

scuff plates stick onto the door steps with a double sided tape, the wiring needs to open a few panels and wiring with a fuse etc. check my thread i posted a pic early into my ownership

upgrades !! are they required for verna ?? its got everything !! these are my thoughts
. just after taking delivery my brother was driving, he didn't noticed a speed braker which was very stiff there was THUD noice from front left suspension. speed of car at that time was around 50 kmph, later on many speed brakers and pat holes were crossed with speed 20-30 kmph and there was no any noice. i felt suspension similiar to swift and dezire.

exactly thats is what i am trying to convey to my service centre folks that horrible thud noises, i get a shock at times when i least expect it. but those guys say its normal in every darn car.
also i get thrown up from my seat if i cross a breaker at 30+ speeds

may be the service center guys talking a truth, just after the thud noice i asked my bro, is this normal ? he said that many sedan's including City, vento, corolla make such noice when a speed braker like that one crossed with high speeds.
hope so this is normal in all cars, mine is Feb 2012 manufactured car. don't know it is with upgraded suspension sets or not.

That thud thud suspension noise making thud thud in my heart. IMO we have to accept it and just wait for few months if hyundai offers any upgrade. If not then we have solution from after market but very costly.

I have asked this before but again asking. My rear sensors are not working from the day when i installed security system with reverse horn. The beep beep sound doesnt come? Does it due reverse horn or any other reason?

Also my 2 channel amp(Hertz used for sub woofer) malfunctioned once again. I have replaced it once with new piece. When i keep ignition switch ON it has normal green light which indicates amp is on. But when i start stock HU the light on amp turns red and woofer does not sound. What is the reason?

check if there is any wire shorting, next check if your fuse is getting burnt, as for me i burnt one amp fuse and triggered my amp into protection mode once i don't know why it did that. also check the grounding to your amplifier. in short check all the wiring once again.
but next time it did that is because service centre messed with the speaker wire causing it to short out.
even neil has issues with his amp, his fuse blew out and the plastic melts, his sub also blew up.
its strange that we three guys have this issue.
check with hyundai service centre of the reverse sensor since there are issues with it.
on some people it just keeps beeping as if there is an obstruction at the back when there is none on some it doesn't work.
your reverse horn will be tapped into the reverse light. as well as the rear view cameras power and reverse sensor just check the wiring, remove the horn and see if it works.

You are right nick. When first time i replaced the amp(Free) its fuse was blown. but this time the indicator shows the amp is ON but actually it doesnt sound. My father is going to show this to ICE guy today. Let us see what he observes. Will keep update on it

if this is case then henceforth we can see every verna passing speed brakers very slowly like a tortoise [frustration]
guys lets bumbard hyundai customer care service division with suspension issue emails... hope this will open their eyes:stupid:
