@shivraj, I own 1.4 CRDi, if you want to ask anything about it, ask me

Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna Road Test Review

Hi guys,
I am back from long trip to Nagpur, Bhandara and Tadoba from nasik. Total distance covered was 2100 Kms. This fluidic is really super. No fatique at all for 15 hours long trip from one side. We were four in the car and i was sole driver of the beauty.

I was also happy that i got amazing mileage of 19.5 and 21.7 by full tank method on highway. the two nos are because i filled the fuel two times and every time i got this amazing fuel economy.

Next time drive at a steady 80 kmph in top gear with minimum braking and acceleration/gear changes and you would be surprised as to how much mileage you will get.

Yes, I own fluidic verna 1.4 CRDi. It is 6 speed gear box. Engine is good and silent. And engine is responsive above 2000rpm and below that you can feel the turbo lag. You cannot compare it with 1.6 CRDi(128bhp) or vento tdi(106bhp), its not powerful as them but delivers what a 90bhp engine can. Overall you will love the car, looks great in white.

drove on the expressway at 110kmph constant no braking and then had 30-40 kms drive through the peths mg road and shivaji nagar and then back cruising. fe? 10.1kmpl for this 320kms trip add 90kms in new bombay driving. its just the mid which fooled me with 19kmpl while manual calculation tank ful gave me 10.6
my older aveo 1.4 which has 1.35 lakh kms gave 13 kmpl at same speed
Try changing the filling station ? Some filling stations here have bad reputation in petrol. They don't fill the tank to, what you pay for. One litre less they fill, it will hamper your fe.

Wonderful review Akash!! The Verna looks like a completely fresh package with its fluidic looks. Do you think the Nissan Sunny or Ford Fiesta (New) are close in terms of performance and overall VFM with comparison to the New verna? Since all these have 1.6 petrol engines.

Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna Road Test Review

The best looking made in India car.

Wish it handled as good as it looked, though.

Correction: New Ford Fiesta and Nissan Sunny have 1.5 Litre Petrol Engine. As far as driving dynamics are concerned, New Fiesta is still a leader.

PS: Here's our take on Nissan Sunny: http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/test-drive-reviews/5125-nissan-sunny-road-test-review.html

A petrol 1.6 gave me 16kmpl driven this way. The diesel 1.6 should easily give you 23kmpl if driven like this.

i have been trying various fuel pumps and fuels. regular extra premium power speed 97 speed shell super premium no use they just give me 10.kmpl which has more highway drives and 15% city driving. as per same recommendation i drove at 80 even 60 the max was 11. i always fill to the brim never by amount.
its only the service centre who hooked up a test apparatus who got 22kmpl

Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna Road Test Review

Feels that your service center is not in a position to sort out the matter. My friend also got its petrol verna 2 weeks back. I do enquiry about FE and he said that he managed to get about 13 to 14 KMPL.

Why dont you try at other service station in mumbai, may be in Worli. Hope so it can sort out your problem.
