Mine too had same 36 PSI for all wheel and later corrected.

I have one query. Did you change your antenna? It doesn't look like the one we got as stock.
You have a great eyes [shock]. Really I didn’t noticed that. the stock antenna in ours are very long, luckily its just few CM away from my garage roof. If this one is a stock definitely I will get it. Please let us know.

about the locking system, it comes activated by hyundai on the top end models for 15km/h for the other variants only few service centers who wrote their own codes could activate it to arm at 40km/h.
About the hid, if your happy with how your bulbs are performing stick to them. You will need a relay and have to cut the dust covers and can void warranty.

I like the projector in the new ones just wish they added hids

Kentkits!! i have to admit this --- great observation. I was actually waiting for someone to throw me the question [clap] and seems like you pricked the bee nest. hehehe...... offer a treat to me then i might reveal the secret [glasses] hehehehe

why would you keep the rear heater on all the time? Do not do that it is only for clearing up fog from your rear windshield.
I did that coz it catch fog more often than the front shield blocking my visibility as i always drive with windows up and vents open. outside temp was showing 19 degrees.

Unfortunately its not working for me and i am unable to manage time to visit ASS for checkup.

About the headlights?? actually i am not happy with the light for the fact that its halogen, yellow light (3000K probably) so if someone, car or bike comes with high beam i am blinded though i have projectors in my arsenal [confused] Then i'v to flickr my beam but if i am on high the opposite party reacts coz protectors are sharp but yellow. Then i ordered osram night breaker plus (probably more or at least 3500K temp) and yet to receive the package, lets see how it performs else i will think for hids.

Verna received upgrades with led and projectors coz its the best selling sedan in c class, HIDs will be little too much for hyundai's to offer in this class. Elantra in that case should also receive projectors at least where sonata is equipped with xenon (one of my fren told me).

Projectors wont be of much use if the bulb's illumination power is low. Quite unexpected on a Verna. Even Fiesta Classic has great lights despite being 2-3 lacs cheaper.

My theory: Projectors have the same bulb but different reflector casing. Light is more focused in a straight path and not spread around like the conventional reflector casing. Same as a Pulsar 220's projectors. Correct me if I am wrong here

In any case, an 6000k HID kit on those projectors would be devastating. Flick it a few times and you would have people out of your way. [clap]

:lol!: i forgot winters have begun. So is a video coming up of your ice? Yes sonata has hid projectors, but from what i noticed its throw and illumination is just as the ones provided on the altis. I have philips xtreme vision on mine and the difference between it and the bulbs hyundai provided is amazing i do not need a torch no more.
Btw try getting the tire pressure to 32 and see the FE[;)] i dont think the nitrogen guys theory of air being in the pipe is true just get it checked from another dealer over inflation is just as bad as under inflation, there is a page on it in the owners manual which tells you how to check if you have the right pressures.

Yes Myth you are right.

Projectors throw light in uniform pattern with less glare. The HB3/9005 bulb is of single filament (single beam) so the projector setup does the trick (low and high beam). I am not saying that the light is not adequate at night but i want it to be brighter (4000K or more), more crisp - projectors has to look different from the reflectors.

Yes i will check my tire pressure today again, i have a coido tire pressure gauge but didnt get chance to use it. Last night i drove at speed of ~100 km/h and while crossing some bumpy road i feel like the front tires are acting wired, i had a feeling like its under inflated [roll] and also the steering feels like going along with the tires - is it normal?.

That's good mileage you are getting while it is still new. I never got above 10 kmpl for the initial 5k kms...

@rajyadav
Yes rajyadav!! even i am surprised [surprise] may be my driving style, tire pressure, weight and vise-versa factors are influencing this FE. One more thing i would like to share is i always refill at morning in highly reputed filling station which is in my best knowledge trustable. And i also dont allow my tank to go less than half. Most of the time my car stays in garage, outside i try to find shades to park, windows rolled up. Most importantly fast gear shifting....

Verna gives a feeling of disconnect between the steering and vehicle at higher speeds. Probably due to the light steering which is great at low speed(say city driving) but quite awkward while on the highway. (i think this issue might have been fixed on the latest update. Someone needs to confirm this.)
Few people even mentioned that the (apparent) 'thud' sound from the from tyres/shockers was considerably reduced if the tyre pressure was low, say around 32-33psi. I think i read the same thing in this forum somewhere also.

@Dev: Great mileage there. Driving style definitely effects the mileage. I think minimal usage of the accelerator hikes the mileage.

My Verna's steering never felt light. Infact I have complained the ASS that I am finding it weighs more than required.

Any car if driven at higher speed while going over potholes/ bumps, say more than 20KM, will definitely create thud sounds. So really do not think that should be a problem. Lower tire pressure will create more cushion. But as per company recommendation, we should have it as 32 psi on all tires.

dbarma,

It's treat time for us from you! You are the first member to own the latest Verna with projectors![;)]

So, when will the antenna suspense unravel? [roll]

One more query, as I heard from few other members, who checked out the new SX(o) version here in bangalore, are saying it comes with 2 airbags only. Can you please confirm that you for all 6 airbags? You should see airbag tags on from seats if you have the side airbags.
