Service Update - 10k kms

DSC_0023.jpg

Got the service done a bit early (km wise). Here are some of the problems I reported.

1) Wiper - Had this judder feel to it. Said they would replace the entire arm next week.
2) AVN - As I had reported earlier in the thread, there were few bugs. They updated the software. Not sure if it's a genuine update or they just did a factory reset. Will need to check this in the coming days.

Details of the service bill:

1) Engine oil - 5.3L x 258.5 = 1370
2) Air Filter - 301.4
3) Oil Filter - 400.1
4) Gasket oil plug - 33.6
5) Windshield Washer - 3 x 18 = 54

Total Bill - 2400 including tax

Forgot to avoid point 5. Wasnt actually necessary.

After the service:

The engine feels a bit more refined and smooth now. It's a lot better now. Also, can feel the brakes really well now. Had this small rubbery feel before.

Odo reading - 9432 kms

Here are few pictures of the drive with few friends.

The snaps looks great. Which is that place? The service bill seems to be a small amount. Is it because the car is under warranty period? Does the fiesta in the last photo belong to Team-BHP ian deetjhon? Have read his ownership review in Team-BHP.
Is the engine audible inside during driving? Are you using the 6th gear often? Is the sunfilms helping to reduce the summer heat inside the car?

Best regards,
Harikrishnan

Free service right. I can enjoy this till 20k service after which these will be the labour charges for various jobs

Yes, that's him.

Is the engine audible inside during driving?
Not much but Ecosport was better. The windows are thin in the creta.

Are you using the 6th gear often?
Dont even get a chance to use the 5th gear during my daily commute. During highway run, I get a chance to engage the 6th gear.

Is the sunfilms helping to reduce the summer heat inside the car?
Yes, there's definitely an improvement. Front films should make it complete.

Hi Naveen,

First Congratulations on your Creta!

I just took the Creta SX (O) delivery just a couple of days back, to be very frank i changed my decision from S Cross to Creta after seeing your review, i was waiting to post my feedback only after taking delivery.

Now i have couple of questions for your.

1. Park your car at the Silent place preferably at night at your parking closed, put the headlight on and use high and low beam, from down from high beam to low beam (use the indicator to up and down) you will hear the Dom! Dom sound, i thought my car has a manufacturer problem, i went to showroom and checked The sound is exist in all Creta which has Projector Headlamps. Please your feedback on this.

2. What is the actual fuel tank capacity, Hyundai claims as 55 Liters, on the day of delivery, my dealer used 2.5 lit (whereas the showroom manager said as per company policy new car will get 5 lit. and 2 lit alreay inside and 3 lit. he poured;) fanta bottle to pour diesel in-front of me, i feel that is only 2.5 lit. may be 2lt. only with the gaps.... Whereas i did a full tank (with topup) at the nearest petrol pump, my tank took a 59.87 lit. really shocked, is there any black hole inside?

Anyway, its really nice riding in city, but really I feel tiny in that huge car.... i was using TATA Vista previously.. since i mainly use for thru and fro to office, feeling like sitting inside a big cave...

Regards,
Karthik

Hi thanks for the compliment, since my car is just 15 days old and completed around 350+KM i cannot comment on the mileage this time, will comment in a month on the mileage. my inner thought and dealer comments says it should give somewhere 13-14. i read in a forum one of the creta auto user in bangalore getting around 13 it seems. so it should be giving some what same since i drive at kolkata.

Your welcome sir, 13-14 Kmpl in city is a good mileage for a 1.6L, 126 Bhp engine. And may i know what mods have you planned for the creta.

And what is the most favorite thing in your creta for you.

Thanks and its always a delight to give answers related to Creta[:)]
You are correct, Its a 1.6 SX CRDI, was bought on 14.03.2016, shows 2300KM on ODO
I have owned Alto and tata manza in past and they were white too. To me white is easy to maintain and relatively more convenient in summers. No other reason.
I have added Rain visor on windows and Rear View Camera on head Unit as a accessories. I get a mileage of 16+ in city(have calculated in last two refills)
I can't be more satisfied. Awesome drive and love every bit of it. Thanks. Keep in touch!

Congrats on your new ride Karthik. A good decision on going for the top end. To answer your questions:

1) Yes, it's there in my car too. I have had aftermarket projectors in all my previous cars and havent noticed this in them.

2) The tank is 55L as per the company. But even I was able to fill around 58L. Is it because of the fuel pipe from the fuel lid to the tank? That can easily accommodate coupe of litres right? But do check this from a different petrol station. Cant trust these stations nowadays.

Hope you are enjoying your ride. And pen down that ownership report so that you can update your progress. [;)]
