Any idea what will be the maintenance/service cost difference between Creta Petrol and Diesel ? Is Creta Petrol as fun to drive Creta diesel ? My main usage will be my highway trips from Bangalore to Kerala and occasional getaways

No idea on the difference between the petrol and diesel maintenance costs. But to drive, I think the diesel should be better. Since your main usage is highway trips, you should be looking at the diesel. Mine is 90% through congested Cochin roads and I love it.

1. During triple digit speeds, there will be sound inside the cabin, mostly due to tyre noise. Here's the RPM readings that I noted.
(a) 2000 rpm - 100kmph
(b) 2250 rpm - 120 kmph
(c) 2500 rpm - 140 kmph

2. Yes, there will be a small vibration when you turn off your engine. But havent heard of any sound coming from the rear.

not every time the sounds happens only some time, in think its due to hand breaks
and i find the solution of cabin noise, there is a problem with engine mounting bushes, yesterday i replaced it from service centre now its all ok.

now only problem with engine off sound comes from the back side let me check and discuss you later friend.

thanks

Hello, nice review. I am also considering to go for the Creta.
Can you please clear one doubt? Those LED's(parking lights??) can they be used as DRL's? or is there any difference? There is a bit of confusion in this regard, whether Creta has DRL's or not?
Thank you.

Thank you. Those are not DRL's. Just parking lights. You can use it as a DRL but not as bright as the ones on the i20, grand i10 etc.

But the problem is that tail lamps and number plate illumination lamps also do light up when we turn on the parking lamps.

OT: I think I spotted you again near Aluva a few weeks ago. Not sure if it is you, though [:)]

[confused] Really? That's a bummer, really wanted DRL's.. :(
Can some mods or something be done to make only LED's light up? someone must have done something in this regard?
Thanks.

Was it on a sat, sometime in the morning? If so, it would have been me. Had gone to the airport.

Would suggest not to fiddle with the existing connection. Try an aftermarket DRL kit which is very common for Creta now (the one integrated on to the fog lights).

Nope. That cant be done.
Thanks.

Right now confused between Manual or Auto. Getting inclined towards Auto because of better wheels and some other tit bits. With the anticipated price drop Auto might come in the budget, sadly SX(O) will still remain over-budget. :|

Don't know whats taking Hyundai so long in revealing the revised prices.

Auto is moving well now and it's got the same cosmetic upgrades as SX(O). 90% of the Creta's here in Cochin are AT
