How About Another Independence Day Meet?

Hello and sorry for not posting on the site due to busy work schedule.
I might join in.as i need to ensure that i am free during that week. I will confirm my presence by this weekend.

Yes..I am IN : 1+1

My personal experience about Horsely Hills : Its just an Ok kind of place. Only APTDC resort is there as a decent accomodation with swimming pool etc. The area is much lesser than Nandi Hills, and more of rocks than greenery. The other one I don't know. With lesser choice getting accommodation during holidays is bit hard.

Are we late to change the venue proposal to Yercaud? That too will be a center point to all.

Hmmm... If HH isn't any great, we can change the venue for sure. We have enough time. So, let's keep HH on standby and now, go back to square one

I have been following this thread since day 1, I just stayed away from posting anything as I am not entitled for any leaves as of now (as I am in a new job -UK shift BPO) & not sure if Aug 15 is a holiday (leave policy & holidays list are crazy in my company). I will check with the HR & get back within a day. Last time I missed the Vellore meet due to Lambi work, this time I want to make it (I might keep quite till last minute & apply for Sick leave (fake) - head ache/stomach upset etc & join the meet).

How about making Vellore as the permanent independence day TAI meet venue, I think vellore can offer more places to go around than HH.

As you guys know I am always in for any meet, but it is bit difficult for me to confirm now it self and say NO in the last moment due to some business assignments. So my confirmation will be in August 1st week only

But RK, as it's a family meet, we need to have a good place to hang out. A hill station is much preferred to make the occasion even more enjoyable.

Thank you sir. Since you have been to both the places we request you to give your comments one +/- points of both places [Mainly stay, options for stay, availability]. if you have any known sources which could be benefit for us either in getting accommodation or discount or both

I belive our friends must be ready for Yercaud anytime since already we were about to divert our rides from Hosur to yercaud instead of that resort.
