@akhilji : Finally I also got a call from Ajith, and he is promising the registration before 25th of this month, if we do all settlement, I am going to apply for the loan. Mostly I will try to go to showroom tomorrow and see how it goes....

Harin. Yep. Finally, happy eh? Btw, what is special regarding 25th? Heard that as of now, the increased road tax havent been imposed. Will it be increased only after 25th ?

Jazz bookings have been opened since 2-Apr. I have started to receive calls from the dealers that it will be delivered in less than 2 months.
I am giving the booking amount tomorrow.

What do you mean stick to 5years ? In Kolkata, road tax renewal is 5years ? And btw you are totally lucky to get the select at that kinda price.

He explained in earlier posts. Please refer back. There has been increase in Kerala road tax, Honda themseleves hiked 10K, and even heard there is increase in insurance amount too.

Krish, he didnt tell me the onroad as of now. The thing is , there has been a 2% hike in kerala road tax but its not yet imposed. So, if its imposed prices will be up. So,he said he will say once the consignment arrives. Btw, i may go to shpwroom this weekend. I will ask this by than and clarify. What about your X ? I suggest you login a complaint on HondaOne2One and say harshly that you need the car soo.. Just tell them, why cant they deliver an UT X, i they can deliver the same to other cities.

Jazz Select: 687000
Jazz X: 714000.
[surprise]
It was 642000 for the select variant when I booked in Feb. 45k price hike.

Thanks Anand. Dad sort of liked Jazz very much. Something like heart over mind. Initially, he was saying to cancel and opt for another car , if jazz doesnt get delivered in April. But, now opting for Jazz. I know its not a wise decision. A petrol car, with less resale value. But, since we all liked it so much, we were unable to opt for another car. Btw, hope your Italian beauty is doing just fine. Waiting for your ownership report. Again, wishing you happy miles. [:)]

yes for me also the same, now Jazz select prices is equivalent to new i20 Asta W/O sunroof. in which its damn feature rich than that of select. But only problem i noticed is poor engine when compared to Mr. i-vtec.

finally it was a tougher one to decide, both seems to be OK with me... but I decided to go with Jazz select UT only.

Exactly for the same two reasons even in my case too that made me to hang on with JAZZ.

I also have Punto(if not Jazz) in my mind but seeing lot of complaints (from what I read) on this beauty across the forums is keeping me away for now. Did I read/notice only the issues part of it or is it common that everybody aware of?

Yes, got the new price quote 6.87 same as what anand_p_r quoted. Now applying for loan from SBI, Ajith asked me to make all the remaining payment as early as possible. Anyways we have to do that at any time as we already decided to go for select.

Yes he told one set is coming this month and which contains X also, may be yours will be there in that :-), because of the new i20, now they will not leave any customers easily.. they will re-open the bookings and they will try to increase the production as well.

Yeah. No way its going to be near the iVtec. Even with i10, the ARAI mileage is 19.xx but my friends are just getting around 13-14. Dont even expect 12+ in i20. But the feature list is seducing.

anand : i-Gen sportz is now equivalent to swift Zxi in price and is equivalent to Jazz Base version in prize, as well as features which is really interesting. so people will think twice before they put their hard earned money, In this scenario, people has to compare the features rather than going blindly behind the brand name (no offense in this case ;-) some of them will do look for brand value and fame). So finally i20 came forward with some good move on price and features, and they tried some R&D on the engine and claiming 84PS, which was earlier a bad engine (80 PS) for a bigger vehicle like i20 (almost same that they fit in small i10 - if size and weight of the car increases means they have to provide the bigger one. Not the same as that of i10 to get a good power to weight ratio), in this new iGen i20. Hope there wont be any steering rattling / AC issues which was very common once among i20 owners.

I got a call from my dealer this morning checking if I can change color/variant. After I said no, he said the car (of my choice) is getting dispatched today and asked to be ready with cash in 10 days!

Mixed emotions when the time arrives to empty your pocket! :) Hope Im making a wise decision by opting Honda when i-Gen i20 is avialble in market for same/lesser price.
