Actually only occasional trips, may be some long trips is a quarter, no daily commuting. I prefer petrol only, Nothing I am a Honda fan only, already I own a Honda unicorn CBF 150, now waiting for another honda, Tomorrow I will call Ajith and ask about the price and waiting status, if no reply means again I have to call honda one to one....

@Sujith : Congrats man..Nice snaps... booking on FEB 16 and getting on March ... lucky dude....Waiting for your onwership reviews/advices/experiences. But in november when I booked Red was there... As I booked the color which is in high demand, I need to wait... :-(

Harin, while you are calling him, ask him when is next lot coming ? Ask how many select/X are coming. And let me see, if he is saying the same thing to both of us.. . Dont forget to ask about the next consignment date. Ok.. Dad agreed to go and see the GM this week .. Do ppst what he says, after calling :)

i suggest you leave it dude. Seriously ! Go for some other car. after price hike + petrol rates..you should opt a bmw x1 . the retail invoice gave me 5 lac price tag for my select +69k tax=5lac69k ..then 12% vat from honda service=6lac20k in total !! i donno why thr was twice taxed .and the mandatory accessories added upto 19k for me.Then for registration another 37k blown(after 31 march ts 40k) !! . 1000 rs petrol=150 kms for me . before 1st service.

I received an invoice stating 7.4L as On Road Price(Before Price hike in Blr). So you say 12% VAT will added on top of it. Isn't OTR price include everything?

Krish, OTR price - exshowroom +Insurance+ Roadtax. Dont go into tok deep. Wil cause further confusion. To calculate, find the %road tax in b'lore and add it to current exshowroom price . Expect a hike of 30K

@Sujith: Have you done any pre delivery inspection ? how was your experience ? what all you checked ? I know there are some checklist available in this forum, but what all we need to check within a short interval ?

God almighty, I got the same car in Dec for 6.20lacs in kolkata. Bangalore prices are skyhigh man....& why pay lifetime roadtax? This isn't compulsory at all...stick to 5 years....& what is this incidental expense?(ask for receipt for every head of expense)

Extended warranty I believe which you can opt/not, honda will give 2 years/40K KM as standard warranty and if you need another two more years/80K, you need to pay extra. Most of my relatives/friends are insisting me to go for extended warranty, Its always better to go for extended warranty since we are planning to keep the vehicle for more years.

Incidental expense, sometimes they may refer as as logistic/handling charges.

@jazzy : here the onroad price which they quoted to me was 6,41,000 but this was before the budget, now I am sure that it will be 6.8-6.9 because of post budget hikes, tried to call my dealer n times but the phone is engaged. That means I need to go by honda one2one.

I think SELECT was around 7L before budget in Blr. The base was 6.41L.
When did you book yours? BTW why do you want to call Honda one2one and how this works?

@Krishleo,I booked @Kerala on November 05th, I called my dealer, he is telling some vehicles are coming in next consignment which will reach around 18th this month, and he asked me for apply for loan and complete other formalities. Not sure if he is telling to get the full payment, but now the OTR will come around 6.8-6.9 @Trivandrum post budget for select

If you call Honda toll free number in their site they will give you a ticket number and the dealer will call you back to resolve that case. i.e Honda customer care/one2one.

It came out in the papers that Jazz has a uniform price hike of 15000 across the 3 variants. So your price should work out to about 6.56l, why 6.9?

The guy whom peninsular honda gave as support was very helpful . i was frank with him. I told him about my limited knowledge about the new cars.

I urged him to show me all the audio systems working. He played a usb pen drive and showed me its workings. and inserted a disc as well. All speakers were working .

The wiper.. it worked.
The horns n lighting system..checked.
The tyre ..all 4 were same company .
He showed me all the cup holds .
The reverse tracking systems.
The window power working.
The charger socket was working.
The key locking n stuff.
They taught me back seat adjustments.
Where the spafre tyre,tools are kept.
They opened the bonet and showed me where to fill water for wiper usage .
thats it i guess.

important: Pls ask him to show the chase number punched . its a tricky place. I had a problem n needed to call them for help during registration time.

oh i did extend the warranty from present 2 years to 4 years with additional 5 k or so. Do it !
