Sorry my Bad Part with D are Safe and Part with E needs to be replaced with D , My Brio had D Brake Valve so no need to replace , I asked why it happen and why Honda was not able to track Effected Brios only and why check of all Brios ? , He told me since Part E belongs to Amaze Petrol Brio and Mix up happened at Factory itself . Technician was send to only check the part and i am sure he was junior technician, i think it was sheer negligence by Honda .

Hi Friends,
I'm the proud owner of Honda Brio SMT since last 6 months. I'hv drove it around 3500 km, which include almost 1000 km on highway and rest in heavy city traffic. And till date i'm getting 16 km/lt average on total run. Initially it was more than 18.
I have touched the speed upto 135 & upto 120 i didn't feel anything odd. after that i feel a slight vibration. Ya sometimes when the tyre air pressure is high, i feel the bumpy ride or i drive alone. But when the pressure is appropriate 29/26 psi with 2-3 people then it run smooth.
I fill the simple tap water for the windshield once in a weak.
I always keep eyes on its green 'ECO' light which gives me best mileage.

@Farzaan: Yes I too noticed "foul smell from ac" couple of times. This smell lasts only for a minute or two.

As we are discussing Brio Problems & Solutions, I see one practical problem with respect to tyre pressure. Honda recommends 26 PSI in all 4 tyres, however others manufactures in this segments recommend 30 odd PSI. I observed that in majority of filling stations the person filling air by default sets pressure at 32 and starts his work, until and unless you tell him. So every time you need to be observant and inform the other person about desired setting. BTW I am not maintaining tyre pressure as mentioned by Honda [:)]. I keep it as 29 all tyres or 30 front and 29 back.

Anyone knows why recommended tyre pressure is so low? Any technical reason?
Hi,
The recommended tyre pressure by Honda (for Brio) is 29 psi for front and 26 psi for back. and it's the appropriate one. I felt the difference as sometimes the boy fill it as usual around 30 and the ride was bumpy. so always remember the 29/26 psi.

I need not to inform them, they have all the details of the customers. Also, at the special page they have mentioned "Customers will be contacted in a phased manner". So i did't take any appointment.

However, i have never faced any braking issue in spite of having 'E' embossed proportioning valve[;)].

Did you inform Honda website which has setup special page for Brio owners ?

They will contact in phase manner , but since you have Part marked has E it needs replacement and it is better you contact Honda from your side and get it done .

There is no Risk since parts are same only that Amaze part went into Brio

Farzaan,
In heavy rains it cannot be effective, as the water droplets from the windows can easily reflect to the mirrors. Even I have seen this product online, but it is not worth buying (My personal Opinion) for 500 Rs. From slight drizzles only you can keep your mirrors clean.

I had seen this product some time back ( Last Rains ) , but then i observed that due to rain hitting window glass it is difficult to clearly see outside anyway , it might be useful in light rains or in regions where Rains are not heavy .

I am still surprised that Honda has not brought Rear Wiper model in Brio yet in India , i had hoped they will offer tht kit to other brio owners but i think it is unlikely to happen .

^^Storme911: The FE drops considerably if you move from Highway to Bumper to Bumper traffic.

Also, if the vehicle isnt used for some time (say 7-10 days), and then driven, in such cases also the FE might not be realistic.

How often do you reset the trip meter? I try resetting it with every 500-600kms, or while going for long drives. This way, the figures would be much more realistic.

In my 6 month old Brio, the AC is very ineffective. Leave alone hottest time of the day i.e. around noon, it is unable to cool properly even in morning say at around 8-9 am. Increasing the blower speed does not make much difference. Seems that there is some problem with the AC. Car's second service is due in next 10 days so will ask the service centre to look into this issue along with the checking of the proportioning valve.

Hi,
I bought my EMT in March 2012, the recommended tyre pressure mentioned in my car is 26 psi for both front and rear, but I am filling 30 psi as I feel 26 psi is quite less. Back seat do feel bumpy but 90% of the time its vacant.
Any idea how does mileage get effected if I switch to 26 psi?
