Even after doing as recommended by Honda, my Brio feels power less after coming from top gear to 2nd gear (as in crossing speed breaker) and sometimes I have to come to 1st gear to get the required pickup. [frustration]

After showing it to service engineer, he is suggesting me to pickup only after engine RPM is above 1000. It is so problematic to seen and maintain adequate RPM after every bump. [anger]

Anyone else experiencing same in brio.

Any suggestion / help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Service engineer is right. Cant expect any 1.2L car to shoot in second gear if rpm is below 1000. You will need to adapt your driving style.

Every car will feel sluggish if RPM falls below 1000RPM in 2nd gear.

In-order to overcome this Please apply brake before reaching hump put it into 2nd gear and in Half-clutch cross with slight brake cross the hump this way your RPM won't fall much and you will have adequate Power.

Hope this would help!!!

Are you using ac at fan blower speed? i never have any issues, picking up from 2nd gear.

Do note once brio crosses the 1.5k rpm, it is a hooligan, it pulls like a train

We have both honda city 2014 and brio aug 13 make.

Since last one month I have been driving my new city only. [:D]

Brio only driven by my wife.

Today after giving city for 1st service i had to drive brio to come back from service station to home.

I noticed its steering felt tight as if hydraulic in nature (Last 3 yrs was driving ford figo) [surprise]

No EPS indicator light has come on on meter console.

Yet to check power steering fluid level.

Anyone else had similar episode ?

And any suggestions.

Anybody has any info on whether the regular usage of shell super will have a bad effect? i have heard that it will clean the carbon deposits but it will also cause some kind of problem to fuel injector.
I am asking this because i fill up with shell super every time. Any info on the topic will be appreciated.

Hi Everyone,

I have completed my 2nd year of owning a Honda Brio.
I was out of country most of the time (since a year) so my car has hardly been used. Since it needs servicing every 6months, I missed on those dates and so I called the local service center to service my car and give the details of their price/items/info and what else would be included in the service.

I was told that I should get a normal service done which would cost 4k-5k+parts. The other option is I opt for 2Years AMC where in I pay 20k (It includes 3Regular service + 1 Semi Major Service including pick/drop facility)

Anyone in Mumbai has done a paid brio service and knows how much they charge?
What all is covered in that service please share those details and how much they paid for the same (appox price)

What should one go with? Does it makes sense to have a 2Yr service which includes 4services and extra freebies (like wax polish/cleaning from inside/out) for 2yrs. or just pay after services as and when service needs to be done.

Honda technician came home to check Brake Valve which turned out to be D so need to change it .
Hi Vinayak,

How did they know, it is the one to get replaced?
My father had given my Brio, 2 days back (I am not in town) and the technician just opened the bonnet and said everything is fine, nothing to worry.
I am [surprise], with the behavior of the technician...
