Honda won't install them, that's for sure. You can do it as a DIY[evil]
They are willing to sell it here, I enquired two service centres and both of them said " YES" [clap]
Thanks Vishnu.
Would you help me in finding how much they actually cost for a pair ?
Also please enquire if they sell mobilio or new amaze speedo which has bluish theme.[clap]

Headlights will cost around 32.5k . I've enquired, and about the speedo, they are saying they haven't got any price list of it. Will let me know once they have it.[:)]

Hey my hydraulic engine.mount needs.to be replaced.

Ram - Please let us know more details about the engine mounts needing replacement. I was in the assumption that due to hydraulic mounts, the nvh will not increase any further. Is this replacement being done under extended warranty (if you had opted)?
Do you know what caused this? Or is it normal wear and tear?

Damaged IAT Sensor

Hi Vichu,
Truly inspired by your DIYs and your love for cars. keep pouring more! Your reviews helped me in buying my Amaze VX idtech nov-2013 [cheers]

My car has clocked 48k Kms till now and i have loved every bit of it behind the wheels !
And now to the problem, few weeks back a bus overtook me and pulled/rippped of my bumper, fog lamps and a dent in my Right fender. left it for the 50k Kms service and for the damages.[Rs 6k and 16k] and today after a week went to take delivery. inspected the vehicle and seemed good. but as i left the ASS noted that the Malfunction Indicator Lamp was on. called up the ASS and immediately went back to check.

After 1.5 hours they came back saying that the IAT sensor(air intake) is the problem[confused] then i remembered during Christmas 2014, the car lights and the wiper failed to work and the ASS said that the fuse is blown. (5 fuse in total !)

ASS is now quoting me 11k for the IAT as i dont have extended warranty and i have crossed 40k Kms. and they are trying to upsell me with AnyTimeWarranty which is around 7K and i can claim the IAT after a months time.[shock]

I was arguing with them that this happened in their premises and i cant be responsible (i might be wrong.) and my engineering mind was telling me that it cant be sensor fail so easily considering the previous blown fuse.(there has to be a reason for the fuse to break)

the manager told me that they will inspect wiring in the next 2 days and get back to me. however im not satisfied and really confused on what to do now. any suggestions. ? should i escalate to honda care if they ask me to pay for the IAT sensor or get the AnyTimeWarranty ? Other TAI members - insights would be helpful.

That's a sad incident.

Make sure you escalate it to Honda Customer Care or whatever higher authority you can inform it.
Tell them clearly that they insisted me on taking the AnyTimeWarranty and clearly tell them that while giving it to repair , there was no such problem and only after the service such thing has occurred.

Failure of IAT most probably must be because of some one messing with your car while service. Clearly make them understand that and i think you could get this un-paid since it's made by them.

Hey Guys,

Has anyone experienced hardness in engaging reverse gear ? [roll]
It seems to be so tight these days. Anyways i'm up for seevice in another 700kms. But just want to know if this is a common issue or is it just me with this problem.[surprise]

No, I never had any issues engaging the reverse gear.
To be more precise, is the hardness always there or only when the engine is cold and vanishes once the engine is hot ?[confused]

It only happens sometimes. Hmm i never experienced hardness when the engine is cold. I observed hardness only when i reach home travelling 40kms or so.[confused]

Wait, you feel it hard when the engine is having relatively more rpm than on idle rpm while slotting to reverse gear. Please check it , if that is the reason. Gears won't slot to prevent wear.[:D]

Wil check it with the service center. It is normal when the engine is cold. It only happens after i travel 40+ kms to home and when i'm trying to park infront of home. Just now bfor writing this post, i've checkd again without starting the engine and i dont feel any hardness in changing gears.
[confused]

Without starting the engine there won't be any power transferring and hence no hardness.
Then how will you slot into reverse ? Wait for some time ??

I think he actually meant, the gear shift gets harder after long drives. i.e after 40+ KMs. Later when engine cools down or the next day, the gear can be shifted smoothly.

@chsrdeepu8, are you facing such issue recently or it been happening since from you bought the vehicle?

I'm no good in mechanics but I guess there are several areas which can cause such issue. i.e Gear box, clutch disk, Bearings, Shift cables, Related fluids and etc. Whatsoever, it should be solved asap to prevent further damages.
