I'm facing this issue only recently. [frustration]Yes, will get this rectified when i go to get it Serviced this weekend
This is something I can relate to. I have observed while parking if I try to quickly shift to reverse (after halting), it does not slot easily, however if I keep the clutch pressed for a sec or two longer it works. I have also observed that clutch should be fully pressed to the floor and it easily shifts. Experiment and see what works for you. I think this should not be a big issue. Tell ASS to lube the gear lever and it should get better.

I think he actually meant, the gear shift gets harder after long drives. i.e after 40+ KMs. Later when engine cools down or the next day, the gear can be shifted smoothly.
Yes i got it, though i was trying to get what exactly he meant because I'm driving around 70 kms a day to and fro and i haven't come across such an issue.

Yes, thats exactly what I meant.

Maybe a quick visit to the service center will sort out it.[thumbsup]

While I had nothing to do last night, was thinking about the nvh that bugs me when driving at night, and read on various websites online that it is much improved in the newer version of Amaze. So I thought if Honda can do some tweaks and reduce the nvh for newer models, why can't the same be done for older models. So with this thought off went a long email to Honda. I also told them that if it is possible to implement the same solution in older models, I am not expecting this to be done absolutely free of cost and am ready to pay a nominal charge.
Have recieved a reply from Honda Team saying that they will contact the dealer and take this further. Within 15 mins recieved a call from dealer and the service manager has told me to bring the car over tomorrow. Not sure if they can do anything but keeping my fingers crossed till then.

Re: Damaged IAT Sensor

That's a sad incident.

Make sure you escalate it to Honda Customer Care or whatever higher authority you can inform it.
Tell them clearly that they insisted me on taking the AnyTimeWarranty and clearly tell them that while giving it to repair , there was no such problem and only after the service such thing has occurred.

Failure of IAT most probably must be because of some one messing with your car while service. Clearly make them understand that and i think you could get this un-paid since it's made by them.
I called the Service center yesterday. they said will get back. but none did. called them back today and they said no problem with the wiring. and the only option is to pay 11k for the IAT sensor or take anytime warranty and claim for it later [frustration]. i told them i cannot pay as it happened during service.

called up honda customer care and explained. she said they will revert within 24 hours. also wrote to customer care on the same. hoping something positive.

Damn i miss my car [sad] .

That was a tremendous effort from them.
I have done full damping on my car to reduce the NVH, it has significantly improved.
Though, i think there will be some differences in the engine compartments and better insulation on the firewall, and doing both of them is a tiresome process.
anyway keep us posted[:D]

Hey Vishnu,
Great ownnership review. Rated a well desreved 5 Stars.
Great line up of DIY'S[clap].
Vishnu just wanted to know what was the size of the carbon fibre 3M wrap you bought.
I am looking forward to apply it on Brio's at the same place where you applied in your Amaze.
The interiors needs some teatment.
Keep Posting.
Thanks.

Thankyou :)

Well, the carbon fiber 3M wraps gave up so quickly and hence done a paint job inside. Now everything in perfect and fine.
The wraps was good once new and once when heat started to get in while parked, wraps started to deform.

I would suggest you not to go for the wraps :)

Thanks Vishnu.
Considering your advice will have to think how to enhance that portion.
My brio already comes with black finish at that portion.
If it's already black then why the worry ? It should be neat enough right ?

I don't think that would be problem when it comes to roof wrapping. Though if bird dropping's and other things fell on the wrap, it may penetrate and hence cleaning the wrap may be tiresome.
I don't think the wrap may come off since it's a even surface.

Yes right, its pretty neat but looks too monotonous as remaining dashboard is also of the same shade.
One of my friend suggested to paint it with a piano black shade, but thought would make the portion too gaudy.
Is there a paint of the same finish of the wrap you applied?
Thanks

Many car customizing shops here are doing same pattern with paint. Don't know how though.
