Re: Dashboard Painted Up

Ever since the odd brown dashboard starts to worry me, i started thinking over it to get rid of the brown color dash board. Since i don't want to harm it, i first opted for the Carbon Fiber Look alike Wrap which was good at the primary stages and later on it started accumulating bubbles and hence decided to giveaway the wraps.

Then came the idea of Painting the Odd brown panels to black[cheers]

With the Help of an Automotive Refreshing Center here, I got the Panel's painted in Matt black and Satin Silver which on fixing look's bloody AWESOME !![evil]

I would say, this is the best Modification Job that I've done on my car till now and I'm very much satisfied !!

Thankyou[:)]

Well it ain't good as i expected. If you are parking your car under the sun for a lot, then it is not at all recommended. The blades are too soft and once it get's hard cause of heat, then it's the worst. Life of the blades are very low. Either go for Hella or Bosch Frameless wipers or stick on with the stock kinda wiper blades.I will soon switch back or change to hella or boach one's !
Thanks for the info.

I liked the frameless kinda wipers but pity the same made by Hella or Bosch costs 5 times more. Of course there is a difference in quality.

I use my car very rare, not even a 100km per month and I keep the car in a shed always so no heat. Think I should try once and see how really they work for me. [:)]

btw; forgot to ask you another thing. Did you changed the stock horns? Any recommendations for that? My car has stock horns and not so loud so would like to change as well. Something like VW effect horns.

Then i suppose the Frame less one's i bought would be much effective to you rather me. Go, give it a try then.

Re: Dashboard Painted Up

Put the wipers into service position and clean the blades with a tissue paper. After that you can use a duster to dust the particles on the windscreen without harming the glass. Try not to use the wiper's with dust particles accumulated on the wiper blades.
Thanks for the tip. I need to get a good duster to remove the dust first.

The problem is, in the morning, there is due over the windshield as well as the car roof. When I wipe this off with a cloth, I guess these scratches are occurring.

Absolutely stunning look!!! [clap] The contrast between the black dashboard and the off-white A-pillars/etc looks good.

What type of paint was used? How much did it cost you for this job?

Duster will be helping you there. Or else you wash the whole windscreen with water and then use a microfiber cloth or cham leather.

it costed me 3.5 k. The wooden finished stickers from Honda cost me around 6 k here. so it's far better.
