Yes, it's possible to add projectors in Wagon R. But, readymade kits are not available in the market since Wagon R is not popular for mods. So you will have to custom install these projectors onto the existing headlight assembly. I dont think these custom jobs are popular in Kerala. Also, these custom mods will be expensive. You can try to contact Performance Products India, Auto Parts Delhi, Car Parts Delhi and Auto Spare Parts
They specialize in projector headlights for indian cars.

Cheers.!
Naveen, I got a quote from Performance Zone. 5500 for bulb + hid and 12500 for bulb + HID + Projector with angel eyes. as the discussions in the thread goes, its useless to use xenon without projector right? Don't know whether I would be able to afford that this month!

OOps. That is a slip. Just HID costs me 5500 and plus projector takes that to 12500.

BTW, does the installation of the same plays with my warranty?

Re: Xenons HID Lamps Thread

Went through the whole thread, found at that experts in HID are ilango & naveen [clap]
also going through the posts got to know that

4300k- for better visibility with little yellowish mix
6000k- for little bling with little bluish white color

here are few questions to gurus?
Is the new thin so called digital ballast better than the fat ballast?
Does Phillips HID kit come with fat ballast?
how is the brand p8?

I had a doubt too on that.
Yes, HID's without projectors wont be that good. If you dont cut the existing stock wires, the warranty wont be void. These HID's and ballast are just plug n play devices. So no cutting is required as seen before.

Am not an expert in these but gained a lot of knowledge after some solid R&D. You are right about the color temp. 4300k offers the best visibility range.

Havent seen much of the digital ballast. It's better than the normal ballast according to many experts since it regulates power evenly and power is not wasted. I think Philips comes with normal ballast. (Not sure, please confirm this)
Havent heard much of p8 since people tend to buy Philips/OSRAM/Auto Gauge as HID's are expensive. People dont want to take a risk on this. But they do advertise a lot in Autocar mags and many shops so think they should do well in the market. Also, since am based in Cochin, Philips and AutoGauge seems to the hot fav here.

Cheers.!

Re: Xenons HID Lamps Thread

Hey. congrats. Your car looks super cool now. You can try to install Philips 6000k HID's. Please do not go for cheap unbranded HID's. You could try adding DRL's like i have. Keep us updated.

Cheers.

Xenon is the bulb type like halogen. .

The chinese and local one with and without warrenty is not reliable.

Its like seller warrenty.
suppose i sell 10 piece per day and in a week only 4 returns back , i'll happily replace them for free. (In your case a 1500 is got extra , it will minimize his loss)

In hid section , always a branded original is safe.

Many , chinese(local chinese) make are printed with made in taiwan. beware
I have seen this thread now so a small question about to determine about the original product. How would anyone know that these products are original and not fake or locally made. Just because dealer is giving warrenty or there is/are other ways ?

Thanks

@polferns
What are these "evo alfas" lights? I dint get them.
This is first time I have heard shops telling to stay away from Philips. Some of the popular brands are Philips, P8, Auto Gauge, Osram. Since you have the old model Headlight kit, you can fix HID's on your low beam and go for higher rated halogens on the high beam since high beam are of reflector type.

The one that I had mentioned was about motorized auto leveling of the headlights. That's seen in the new model, the one I have. See my car's video here

@shailinder
I know it's hard you to find which one is fake and genuine. But for philips, you could try this. Philips have these serial numbers that you can verify online. See pics for the no.

Thanks
