Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

good that you took some pics. just go to the service center and if they say well there cannot be any problem , show them the pic.
Yeah; Also in the morning it was raining like hell and there wasn't any fog.[roll] When the light heatens up at night; the water inside forms fog.

This is because of sealant coming off from headlight.
So I guess it is manufacturing defect rite? Should be covered under warranty?

Ideally it should, but warranty is not there on rubber parts, electricals etc. They don't cover things like bulb under warranty, so don't know about this stuff. [confused]

Hey Gears. You must go to the Modi Hyundai service centre and show the guys the headlight fogging problem. They should arrange for a replacement as this would be a manufacturing problem. The quicker you go the better.

I had a similar fog issue, but in my case the fog remains during the day and days after the rain had stopped. Took my car to Modi Hyundai service center. They were very quick, took pictures and forwarded my complain. I was told last week that my clam had been passed and the headlights would be replaced once they receive the parts from the company. So I do think that this is a manufacturing defect considering that there are no cracks or and physical damage done to the headlights before.

Hope this helps.

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

Checked out in the morning; there was no fog. Decided to visit Modi Hyundai Chunabhatti while going to office. Met two SAs there and told them that water is collecting in the Headlight. They checked out very deeply but there was no fog. Told them that fog forms in the evening when the parking lights are switched on. The water inside forms fog.

I showed them the pics in my cell. They saw and one if the SA started saying that this is normal. There are holes in side the lights to blah blah..

I said that this is not normal; since this is not my first and only car. I had owned n number of cars earlier and even have a couple of two wheelers; which do not form fog and all.[anger]

At last they said that we cannot do anything unless we have proof. I told them better take pics clicked by me. They smiled refused. So I told them that I will bring the car in the evening. They agreed and said that they will click pics from their DIGITAL CAMERA and sent them to Hyundai.

They are open till 8pm and that is too early for me. I generally reach Chunabhatti after 8:30pm. Didn't got chance to give them a today evening. Will see some other day when I will be back early from office. But they assured me that they will try their best and will replace the lights one the claim is passed from Hyundai.

Ooops sorry for a late reply bro. Net conection was down for a couple of days.[;)]

Well; since they are open till 8pm only, we didnt got any time to wisit then in the evening since the fogging issue is at evening only. Once; I guess thursday we reached chunabhatti till 8:10pm and so decided to check them out. The center was deserted and only two SA's were about to leave. Though both of them knew me but one of them was the guy whom I had discussed the fogging issue couple of days back. He got the camera and clicked the pics. Now the left headlight did not had fog. Might have been dried up due to heat; but it was there I knew it. Told them to take pics taken my be also. Mailed them that night after returning home. Till now no updates from their side. Will have to call my SA I guess. [anger]

Re: Got Wet in the Rain of Fluidics!!!

good luck with the headlight thing, my dad fired my service centre this morning and yet they hold grounds that its normal this is the tsb, dad was like to hell with the tsb how can fog form in a sealed head lamp assembly it hampers visibility, they then say sir if you keep the car on for 30 minutes with headlight son it will go dad was annoyed and stopped arguing.
