yeah tomorrow will take the digi cam to the garage.
todays expense
Rear stabliser rod , stay rod bushes. total of 4 stay rod - 8 bushes . one are each end.
stabliser rod , a pair of button type bushes and one pair of holder bush.

till the above the cost was 1470/-
lathe charge to fix them is 25/- per bush. yet to do this work.

No car to carry this.
no person available to carry in bike as got 3 cars for service and mechanics were busy.
Painter working in dad's 800. tinker working on his contract car.

It was only me jobless , and i cant ride bike and carry these heavy rods all at a time

The helper boys in garage was on leave in spite of repeated saying that the sierra is in the ramp[only one available and most crucial thing for us.]

and one cross stay bar - yet to remove and buy its bush.

All the bushes were worn out and one was even broken.

No idea if it was original one that came with the car 13 years back.

Will click some picture of bush and its pressing in lathe etc.

Update :

All the 10 bushes replaced.

The stabilizer bushes , totally 8 . 4 pair also replace . - locally its termed as pattanni bush

After fixing all the rods , phew damn heavy job , only at the last found that we have interchanged some bolts. oh not again remove all and refix everything. a whole day gone.

almost at the end , the stabliser rod holder bush was over size and need some cut and fix. on hammering the clamp of it , it broke ! and finally on 2hrs searching just one shop had one and bought that.

clamp - 120/-
coil spring pad - 200/- each . got two of them
Lather charges 250/-

Today hope the beast will be back on the road.

And the important thing about the 16incher tyre. it just scraps here and there on load.

earlier i have mentioned that it doesn't scrap. may be due to worn out tyre. .also signs of mudflap bolts being filed to even are found - meaning previous tyre have scrapped them and have worn out them??

today will carry out some of the welding work required to remove them and also the foot step need to be cut to some extent. works fine in road , but when jacked up , the tyres scraps them.

Update:

today the car was on its first ever trial run after the tyre change. over poth holes etc.

the welding works are done.

Foot step shortened.
rear mudflap removed totally. and also the bolt and nuts used to hold that and the sharp clamps! everything is gone.

after this a speed trial.

hit 120kmph for the first time in the sierra.

In any speed it was butter smooth - yeah they say sierra a highway king. easy to drive with new tyres.

issues , the radiator fan leaf touches something slightly- dont know what!! will open that next week , till then enjoying the ride!!

pictures tomorrow for sure - please excuse.
