Mostly offers starts pouring during festive season which starts from Ganesh Chathurthi onwards till Diwali
Thanks GrandRk, for your input, if I do wait till the festive season, I could get to see more variants launched?
december, march, july, october the best offers usually dealers pour in to clearoff their remaining stocks along with festive seasons to make their target achieved.
I have seen some amazing deals for december and feb-march clearings.
Thanks Vijay on your inputs, I bought my Wagon R in July 2014, and MS dealers gave me a free hand at milking them.
Hi Mr.Vinod,

I timed mine with "December discounts time". When Verna was selling hot (in 2012), I got the best deal; they accepted whatever I demanded [;)]. If you don't much care about resale value and can wait for 6 months, then December would be nice.

Otherwise, the "Navrathri to Diwali" period is de best with discounts. Wish you Good luck. your
Spot on Vijay, festive season is the ideal time, also new features/variants are also launched then.

Hi TAIger's, a new car buying deliema, when is the best period of buying a new car, June or July?

I've read and experienced July, as the best offers are available in this month. Is it true?

Please pour in your inputs.

Thanks

Regards
Vinod
Maximum discounts rain from Sept - Dec period and Dec being highest to clear stocks. Note - Major car makers rise price in 1st week of Jan and 1st week of Apr or May, twice every year.

Just to add information here, the end of year sales push is typically so dealers can show the highest sales figure possible to manufacturers, which could allow them to get a larger allocation for vehicles (particularly more desirable ones) next year.

Depending on the dealer, quotas/bonuses may also be a factor.

Why dont you consider Tigor XZA ? Im not pushing because I bought one but it seemed to be more practical and cheaper than Nexon with more boot space.

Very true, this is the best choice for a budget Automatic sedan, however, I do have a Nano AMT to contend with, and want a diesel automatic as I've never owned a diesel and the punch at the seat back is truly exceptional.

Thanks for your feedback on the Tigor XZA.

Very true Sir, even owning the Tigor XZA , I cant let my Manza QJD go so easily. The Torque in multijet diesel engines is simply awesome.

Hi friends..

I have been driving my Alto K10 since last 18 months. No complaint about the car so far, but the back seat is much of a concern recently as it is very difficult to accommodate 3 medium size persons and more worse is that if they have to carry one or two small children. (more problem if the person is taller, say above 5.6'')

I knew this when I decided to purchase the car but that time (and until a couple of months back), we had only 2 or 3 people use the car. In view of this I am thinking of going to another car which will accommodate 3 persons comfortably in the back seat.

I don't need a very big budget car because my usage is very less (being a senior citizen not much long drives or daily usage - like going to office etc.).

The must have features in the car should be:

1 -ABS, Airbags
2- Decent ICE with GPS
3- Reverse parking camera with sensor (I don't like same to be fitted on the IRVM)

Budget: preferably under Rs.6L

Your suggestions/recommendations are happily welcome, please.

Hello Nair Sahaab, Let me give some of my limited gyaan on your query.

Hi friends..

I have been driving my Alto K10 since last 18 months. No complaint about the car so far, but the back seat is much of a concern recently as it is very difficult to accommodate 3 medium size persons and more worse is that if they have to carry one or two small children. Moving up beyond the Alto K10, and still staying in the Maruti fold,
TD the Wagon R AMT VXI its the most comfortable front and back seat car, and comes within your budget.
Why AMT, its the least expensive automatic, and fuel efficient.

The best budget (safety features, ICE reverse sensor etc)hatch would be Tata Tiago, and with the June July offers Rs.1/- insurance etc., you can easily get XZA (AMT)

I knew this when I decided to purchase the car but that time (and until a couple of months back), we had only 2 or 3 people use the car. In view of this I am thinking of going to another car which will accommodate 3 persons comfortably in the back seat.
Very true, after 60+ (I'm nearing it) one tends to think more about others comfort.
I don't need a very big budget car because my usage is very less (being a senior citizen not much long drives or daily usage - like going to office etc.).
Petrol engine is adequate for your limited usage.
The must have features in the car should be:

1 -ABS, Airbags
2- Decent ICE with GPS
3- Reverse parking camera with sensor (I don't like same to be fitted on the IRVM)
Even Maruti, following the competition has stopped giving ABS and Airbags as Optional, most of their cars have them standard now.[clap]
Tiago has the best ICE from Hermann, GPS can be bought aftermarket, parking sensors are available as OEM in 6/7L cars.

Budget: preferably under Rs.6L
Your suggestions/recommendations are happily welcome, please.
Vinod

Yes, I too was thinking of Wagor R and Tata Tiago. Tata does not have a service center near my place (nearest one is 40kms away) but Maurti service center is just 2kms away.

Tata Tiago have only parking sensors and if I need to fit a Reverse camera then it has to be fitted on the IRVM which is not of my liking. Or else I have to find a Reverse camera which can be mounted on the dashboard

I hear the New Wagon R (2018) which scheduled to launch sometime in September or October 2018 comes with Reverse camera along with the HU?

Earlier today, I visited my friend's house where I could see the Celerio VXi (AMT). Just checked the car and one thing I found was the front seats. The seating position is on the higher side and ingress/egress seems a bit easy comparing my Alto 10. And the car is taller than Maruti A-Star.

Meantime, believe they have another variant called Celerio X. Checked with a couple of car sites, but couldn't find much difference between these two on features except Celerio X comes with Roof rails.? Anyone have more information on this?

Today, I visited Tata Showroom in my place. Only XZ variant orange colour is available on display. He has got stock of Silver and Gray color in their other showroom. The Sales guy says that only these colors are available on Tiago - is this correct? (As per Tata Website Tiago comes with White, Orange, Brown, Gray, Red and Platinum Silver colours are available).?

Also, he says that Tiago doesn't come with 'sport mode' (only City/Eco available) - is that correct?

As far as the price - He has quoted Rs.6, 59,659 for the XZA (I think Rs. 575,000 is the ex showroom price) and Rs.6, 13,000 for the XZ variant. (I did not ask for break-up which I will do when I go to TD)

Also, I have asked him to get an exchange price for my Alto K10, which he will have to come back.

In any way, the Car looks very stunning, especially the interior and ICE.[:D]

Tiago comes in all colours which you mentioned, they might not have stock and have to order from factory.
Sports mode is only in AMT models
