As per MID,our Vento Diesel gave 13.5 Km/l in last highway run.In City as of today morning,Rocket gave 12.5 Km/l.Yet to get 1st service done.Car had done 13500 Km.What to do with FE?
Now FE seems to better. Now,Vento is giving 14 Km/l in City.14 Km/l is best which I had achieved so far.To avoid traffic,I would be starting by 7:30 am.Previously,I used to get 12-13 Km/l.

Is it a petrol or diesel. But by either way it is a decent mileage.

Ohh I missed the previous post, good mileage for diesel car in city.
Diesel it is.Average,I got 19.2 Km/l in City.

Best-22.9 Km/l[clap]
Average-19.2 Km/l[cheers]
Worst-10 Km/l

Used Tankful method.

Vehicle: Punto MJD 1.3 76 HP

Highway (AC Full Auto 95% of time on):
18-19 Km/l (hitting 3K+ RPM)
20-22 Km/l (Keeping below 3K+ RPM)
24-25/26 KM/l (Keeping max between 2K to 2.5K RPM that is, 80 KM/h to 100 Km/h)
(Generally on NH4 I hit the first case as it is hard to drive slower. Most of the readings are tankful + trip meter and they tally well)

City (AC Full Auto 60-80% of time on)
15 - 17 Km/l
(mostly get ~17 as seen on trip meter - generally I don't do tankful reading during city use)

How did you managed to do this, i can never achieve this IMO. I drive a punto 90.
My ride never returned these figures in those RPM bracket.

Oh... and I thought I am getting the mileage equal or lower than what most ppl usually get (esp when doing 100 to 120 Km/h)!

Btw, a few things that may matter:

1) When I say AC full auto on, the temperature I generally keep is within 18 to 24, mostly 21. Nowadays with sunfilm removed and heat I have to keep @18 / 19 though :(

2) ODO reading is: ~9600 KM, 1yr service done.

3) Out of this, around 8K KM is with 2 + 1 (me, wife and kid), most of the rest with 4 elders + 1 kid

4) Car usage is in bursts. That is, a long journey -- then 5-6 days car isn't moved an inch (sometimes for 2 weeks) -- then some city run of around 40 to 70 KM once/twice in a week -- 3-4 days car isn't moved -- a long run.
