Re: Ford Fiesta 2014: Review | Test Drive | Pictures

I want a car with stiffer suspension. Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with vento's cornering skills even if it requires a bit more effort on hard corners. What i don't like is the soft damping, mild pitching front end and never feels settled on undulations, leading to discomfort on long journeys. And the added features like keyless go, folding orvms, etc...
Vento has done 73,500 kms, 2011 may.
How many services does crazy cat do a year? The average running ia around 20000 kms a year right,in that case Fiesta will require to services a year whereas Vento might requite one only

The sudden surge in punchy mid-range that pushes you back to seat upon gentle press of the accelerator is always exhilarating.
@350z, Is this a advantage over Ecosport or both are same on this front.?

Fiesta name tag is in itself synonymous to superb handling and Mark-VI carries the torch forward. The way in which this car beautifully takes on the sharp corners is indeed worth applaud.
Don't you think, it is due to low GC of 156 mm?

As far as GC is concerned nobody has complained that its too low, even with moderate to heavy load Fiesta didnt scrape its under body according to owners here at TAI itself

Somewhere around 15000 kms. I personally got Vento around 45000 kms, before that it was our highway car, so running was high.

Fiesta may be slightly expensive than Vento, as far as maintenance.

Ya if one is doing more than 10000 kms a year Fiesta will be more expensive to maintain

Re: Ford Fiesta 2014: Review | Test Drive | Pictures

New Fiesta bookings for non metro cities has commenced from mid september onwards. I got a call from Rajshree ford for booking, but I had done with the booking in chennai by then.
Anyone know when Ford plans to launch 2014 Fiesta in non metro cities? The local dealer is clueless about it. I'm eagerly waiting for it and might even replace my Vento for the Fiesta.
AFAIK, VW's service charges are expensive than Ford's & so are the parts. I couldn't understand why Fiesta will be more expensive to maintain, if one is doing more than 10000 kms a year.

BTW, I took delivery of my Diamond White Fiesta Titanium yesterday[clap].

VWs charge regular service at 15000 kms or one year, so if a person does say 15000 kms a years only one service a year is required for a VW whereas in a Fiesta by the mid of second year of owner ship another service will be done, so a years 2 services each averaging between 4-7k that means 8-14k Rs a year in service charge if more than 10000 kms gets covered, still its slightly cheaper than VW, but wont make a huge lot of sense, if lot of driving specially more than 15000 kms a year is sure either VW or Suzuki gets the best value in my mind

Thanks for the clarification. I didn't know that VW serivce interval is 15000 Kms [surprise]

Not at all. In my Fiesta's 2nd service(10,000 kms) the total amount was Rs. 2362. May be in the 3rd service (20,000 kms) it may come around Rs. 3300, but not sure about it. Fiesta is so cheap to maintain than Vento, Rapid, Verna.
