I have same issue with my 2015 TDCi Ecosport. Done 17K.

Very frequent cuts to radiator fan, or lowering down the rpm's when A/C is on. I started experiencing it since 3 weeks. Since then there has been rains few times but radiator behavior is consistent in cutoff during A/C on.

The problem is when radiator fan starts, it momentarily sucks down on power which results in lowering of blower speed and headlights. And this continuous cycle annoys me during whole trip.

I went to Harpreet Ford which thought problem is with chocking in radiator but no luck. I noticed few Ecosports in facility which either had Fan running in full speed or just quiet. But not frequent cutoffs like mine.

Now what i have read is that radiator fan can switch on not necessarily for engine but to cool hot a/c compressor itself. I will get my ES checked through Mahindra first choice or Bosch or some local tech before going to ford again.

> Can Ford proprietary software show load on engine while idle with A/C on ?
We can compare it with another vehicle to check if compressor is at fault.
> Can Ford software show running temp of engine ?

New low - ford guy said i never raised point of nvh

How low they can go is proved by This video.

In this video, see how Vincent From FORD Lying that I never raised point of Vibrations. You cannot deal with CROOKS and CHEAP GUYS. GM MUTHWANI was standing like a mute spectator.

https://youtu.be/o1pbmRADKUs

What was strange, with IDS connected, RPM were lowered to 850 and rare RPM shift.
After they took it out and I had driven it was back. I asked them to reset PCM they refused.

I was ready to pay for it. These guys are SICK, LIARs...

Posting here after long time

Me doing well and my car as well
crossed 45000 Kms no major or minor issues
Mileage varies according to road condition / driving style (12 to 14 City) and 13 to 23 on long drives

and still am running on default manufacturer provided tires
let me know if you have any suggestion for new tires
which one is best

Michelin Primacy 3 ST 205/60 R16 92V
Continental Conti Max Contact t MC5 205/60R16
Yokohama db Decibal Ultimate Silence P205/60 R16 92H
Bridgestone Potenza GIII TL 205/60 R16 92H
Hi MSN,
After long time. Good to here that your ecosport is doing good. Regarding tires, i have replaced my tires at 50K km. I opted for Michelin Primacy 3 ST. I have complted 15 k km with these new set of tires. These tires are good. Low noise, smooth ride and fantastic grip. Only downer is car mileage may go down by 1 or 2 kmpl.

Here is video posted on you tube on NVH. Still these guys have guts to say I never raised it. Raised it in 2014 as well.

SHAME. These guys are a disgrace.

Bro we struggling with stuff like these since 2013.

They are a horror. No one willing to listen. FE down by 30-40%. Noise and Vibrations very high.

FOREver Defective

Hope they listen to you.

Sorry, was busy for past few days. I actually purchased creta 1.4 S and liked it minus the body strength.

Anyway, i am not selling ES. I spoke to Service center and he wants me to bring vehicle for testing. I am just at beginning of troubleshooting this issue.

Will report back.

2017 Ford Ecosport interior spied

So its clear India will be getting this interior for the major facelift

Also a new 6 speed Manual Transmission too can be seen

So will Ford give 6 speed Manual for both 1.5l petrol, diesel and 1.0 ecoboost engine?
Any wild guess?

Hi Guys

Saw one message in FB regarding rattling of rear hatch. Seems ford is replacing some parts on the rear hatch to rectify this issue. But your car should be under warranty. Has anyone done this? I am plaaning to visit my FSC during next week. My car warranty will end during August'17.

And one more query. Can I opt for 5th year warranty now.

thanks in advance guys.

A hot day with AC ON wont necessarily lead to engine heating

IF the FAN is not working its a problem, but if FAN is working its not a big issue, but do take care of coolant and engine oil levels as a caution every 2000 kms or so just to make sure the issue is not related to engine

Another possible issue is a resistor or a POT that might have gone wrong, if that goes wrong the FAN speed wont adjust itself based on the current input to the FAN, so whenever there is a signal to switch ON fan at a specified speed, the lack of resistor POT to control the FAN might lead to a short and excess current might pass through the circuit causing FAN to work in a low voltage high current situation, this is not ideal and can cause unwanted sound from FAN and possibly vibration as well as the compressor too are connected to this circuit leading to low current or voltage in compressor leading to vibrations,

SO my suggestions are to check the thermostat and the Resistor POT that controls FAN speed, a thermostat error usually should be detected by OBD but Resistor error might not show up on this,

[confused]

Re: Is this Normal? Final Call before I sell car

1. If FASS says that thermostat is working fine then it should be working fine as its just a test signal that responds with OK oe error in OBD for its working, and thermostat temperature actually I dont know the exact value for cut off

2. Check the Ecosport user manual page 76, there itself its mentioned that the idle engine speed will vary with different parameters to control emission, depending on AC needs, etc

3. I believe @ESmaniac has found the noisy FAN that makes that sound with bonnet open, if not OPEN the bonnet keep AC on after an hour drive or so and identify the region where the FAN works with that kind of noise and close to the FAN there will be its fuse and circuit box, possibly having size of somewhat 2 or 3 large match boxes.

Guess this helps too

I maybe wrong but why are we quoting blower resistor in radiator noise?

As far as i understand, there should be two resistors in car, one in blower assembly and other in radiator.

Just like you rotate the dial or vary resistance in blower speed, ECU utilizes the same concept with radiator fan albeit it's auto controlled.

Both processes are mutually exclusive.

Let me reiterate
Two fans: one in Blower and other in Radiator and two resistors.

Agreed with that, I was saying that either the AC fan control resistor or switch or POT might have gone wrong which means although there is Control signal from the Fords AC control module the lack of control might turn ON/OF the FAN without speed control , and with the AC unit Fords AC unit has considerable 110 cc compressor unit so the car ECU itself uses some engine power to run the AC unit for fast cooling, so a problem with AC control system can in turn make the cars rpm fluctuate and mess with its ECU

Fkn A. SOLVED.

If resistor is faulty, you can have one of two settings.

Fan will be off or will rotate at full speed since mid voltages will not be understood by short resistor.

Ford checked my radiator resistor through multimeter. They made sure i was not able to see the result. Changed the part and problem gone.

Part looked somewhat like below

I recommend below video for better explanation.

THANKS ALL.
