Car has clocked 39K.

All 4 tyres got 1 puncture and 3 with tubes as tubeless got cuts etc.

Is it time to change tyres?

Slightly off topic.civic sense is taking a beating in India. Delhi seems to top list of road freaks

I was in extreme left lane and about to take a left when a guy in Baleno came from right lane.

He got parallel to me and showed me middle finger saying can't you see indicator.

I was like man I was in left lane half way through left and you car came from behind and parallel to me. How will you expect me to see your indicator and give you way.

He had a lady seating next to him and yet he shouted **** off and absurd ma mother.

I shouted back at him. I don't like to loose cool.

Shameless guy had a girl next to him yet tosser called me M*, shouted to shot me, and gestured.

What a shame in middle of main Delhi roads at morning hours. Disgrace...I am shocked evn educated pp eople do this. In fact the girl did not stop him and showed me gesture to go away.

It will take a long time for India and its people to be in the league of others, we have "adhiti devo bhava" but foreigners follow it
We have the biggest brains on earth but never use it for our own good use, we lend them to foreign hands
And finally the crabs nature, we never allow some one to prosper or get better, pull them back from their efforts

So as of now, its better to bow down our heads for that shameless INDIAN and pray that he gets the right mind some day!

Regarding tires, I changed my 4 tires at 40k kms, mine were MRF Zv2ks and I dont think MRF will hold well post 40k kms, mine too had 3 punctures, all of them for front tires before we swapped all of them , so in short YES< its time to change to some better tires

Mine are shod with Goodyears and have done 15K but not a single puncture as of yet. Guess just lucky. However one of the tyres sidewall slightly damaged while off roading and have put that to stepney. One of my friends diesel ecosport shod with Goodyears has done 50K and still looks good to manage another 5K. Never knew Goodyears could outbeat MRF's in life [surprise]

Watch Video and notice the noise. I have not heard this in any of the cars driven ever or used all my life.

There is noise, Vibrations and you can feel it inside. I could hear sound good 30M away from car.

Car blower takes 10 Min + to warm the car.

They changed the fan motor. Noise shown in video is gone.

40K Service and another Ford Mess up ..Brake Fluid Change Missed possibly??

So I landed at dealership for 40K service. I was given Gold Flexi Plan by Ford and thus service was covered under same.

During service, I told this to SA and he instructed engineer working on car to only do what I covered in Gold Flexi. Now I was like do everything per schdule and had a word with service manager. Told him ford told me all is covered if not I shall pay.

He instructed mechanic to perform ALL the 40K task. Manager was really nice.

While taking delivery I found BRAKE FLUID was not mentioned on invoice. I said now why this. SA said that it is not required at 40K service.

I was like man it is required. He showed me some ford screen where it was not given.

I told him that engineer said he did top up and you saying it is not required. On this, he placed a tick on repair order.

I was like I need an invoice if same was replaced. He said no invoice as same was given free and was not part of flexi service.

I know this was not a correct argument as there were other parts which are not covered under flexi yet shown on invoice as free of cost.

He did not accept. So I met the manager and he asked him why SA did not change everything per 40K schedule.

Service Manager met the engineer and store guy to confirm if the fluid was changed. They said yes. He then said take the invoice and issued a separate invoice.

He also said I am right in asking for invoice so that no one can say to save money I refused brake fluid change.

WHY THEY DO ALL THIS?? I hope they did change the BRAKE FLUID. Putting life of a customer at risk for meagre 800 rs.


Earlier Astro Ford lied that they changed the CLIPS under recall process. However ford engineer at Harpreet said it was not performed.

Safety is of no value it seems to these guys.

How's the Engine oil consumption after the Engine replacement? Is it within the specified limit of 100ml/1000KM ? what would be the dipstick level, when the vehicle is due for service?

I've done 37K & my oil dipstick level is just 3 points above the minimum mark. SA claims it to be normal consumption & had shown a dipstick of another ES(Due for 40k service) with oil just above the minimum level. As per SA, the dipstick level will be at minimum, if 1 litre oil is consumed(normal consumption for every 10000 km), which I find it hard to believe.

If dispstick level is at the minimum it is better to check for oil leakage. In my case oil level was at the minimum. FSC guys checked and informed regarding the engine work. Accordingly the required components were replaced. It was done at 42000 km. Now my car has clocked 63000 km. So far no issue. I regularly check oil level. Their is no abnormal reduction in oil level. Oil level is always near the maximum.

Yes, I have upgraded my headlights to 90/100 using a relay. The throw remains almost the same while the brightness is almost doubled. Overall, I am very satisfied with it. I will upload some pics soon.

PS: i did the upgrade almost a year back, and there is no damage on headlight's lens.
