I agree with you all regarding waiting for the EcoSport facelift. So have kept my decision on hold. Thanks for helping.
Update is i have quoted 10.2 Lakhs OTR and asked if he can give me that offer as he has already come down to 10.5 Lakhs OTR. So if he agrees for 10.2 Lakhs OTR would take the current generation as its almost 2.0 Lakhs whooping discount.
Please can you explain the features you mentioned in your comment are worth 2 Lakhs. If yes then i would wait for it. And what is the EcoSport S version? Please elaborate.
@damager21 is right that i am just in a look for Petrol engine. So does the S version of EcoSport come in petrol or its just for the diesel?
The biggest reason for Ecosport face lift as per me is the new rear track and new rear suspension, as per Brazilian media reports the new Ecosport has a wider rear track with 10% stiffer semi independent twist beam, this has one big advantage ie the back seat ride quality, the back seat of current Ecosport has a stiff ride almost like a BOF SUV, because the wheelbase is small and a smaller rear track means for stability there is no other option other than providing a stiff rear damper and spring, with the new face lift they have changed this and this will lead to a noticeably better rear seat ride quality over current model, this is something that the current model can never match
Then the seats, the current Ecosports seats are already very good but the new one gets the same seats the Ford Focus has in Europe, much wider wings and longer under thigh rests, so in theory should give better comfort over current model
Then the new 1.5l Dragon Motor, I feel Fords new Ecosport facelift with 1.5l dragon motor will be a very good alternative to ecoboost, not that ecoboost is bad by any means but the new engine too generate 123 horses and 150 NM just 20 NM shy of the ecoboost and new engine having long stroke and large bore size should have better low end torque than ecoboost,
New Dragon petrol motor is made in India as well, so localization is definitely above 80% and this means it will be cheap, meaning current 1.5 petrol Ecosport sells for around 10.23-10.89 lakhs on road depending on state, so even if there is a price increase for facelift it wont be much in Dragon motor as its even more localized than the TiVCT which now is sourced from Thailand. so in effect the price will remain around 10.5-11.3 lakhs on road itself depending on state as per my calculations

Then its the features like Projector headlamps,SYNC 3,arm rest,all of which adds better value than current Ecosport
I know at 10.2-10.5 lakhs the ecoboost is a terrific deal but I feel the Ecosport face lift is not just slightly better but far better than current Ecosport at least according to Brazilian reviews, this is what makes me feel that waiting will be WORTH.
S variant is only for Diesel. If you will, EcoSport with Ecoboost is more of a Petrol S variant. As your know, Ecoboost engine will be more peppier and powerful than even the new 1.5L Dragon engine.
I feel Ford will be giving 2 S variants, as of now also the Figo has an S variant, one in petrol and other in diesel, I think Ford will keep S variant for ecoboost variant of petrol Ecosport and for diesel there will be the TDCi, so that will make 3 engine choices
1. Ecoboost as Sporty petrol (might not get the Trend and Titanium variants)
2. Dragon as regular entry level petrol and with 6 speed torque converter Automatic
3. Diesel as Manual and Sporty S
So this caters the widest variety of compact SUV as well , ie Sporty petrol,regular petrol, petrol Automatic, diesel, sporty diesel
