original type fog lamp.?
Where can we find one?.
Ebay.

Even if you can't post the latest ones, please ask your wife to just click snaps and post them once you reach our shore.[;)]
I actually have the last few snaps after the completed paint job but the net is too slow on the ship so can't upload anything.

Hey Peter sorry for noticing this thread this much late, but kudos to you brother for your dedication for the UNO.
Thanks.

^^ Nice updates Peter, the paint looks good along with a neat finishing too, one question, why is the floor in center of the car painted black? Is it the anti-rust coating?

That's the way the car was originally painted. The floor was black. There were some tar sheets stuck to the bottom.

Peter, This is my new alloy in my 118NE. A 100 PCD alloy with wobble nuts. After hunting for an year or so, I decided I am not going to find a new set of 98PCD 13" alloys. Hence went for this. Liked the design & the offset also matched. Hope this helps.
Regards,
Ilango

I actually have a set of 14" alloys of 100 PCD. If I don't find original Fiat Alloys, I'll use these.

hi peter ,
The work is coming out very nice, is the engine room and under body also going to get painted?

REGARDS,

SK
Everything is getting painted. The suspension is currently being overhauled and the places that were hidden due to components in the engine bay and at the bottom will get painted. When assembly is complete the entire bottom gets a coat of paint. Will load the photos as soon as the net speed improves.

The mechanic just informed my wife that he can't find the carpet. Now need to get a new one. Cost 6K but it's still available with the dealer.

Pinch me, Peter. Pinch me again.

Either you are the luckiest Fiat customer in India or I still need to be pinched.

Can't wait for the final output. Million dollar lira question - what about the engine?

The mechanic said that all parts are still available. Some parts take time but you get them. Fiat is just supporting the Uno customers to rebuild the faith in the brand.

For the moment the car will be restored to stock with a few Abarth touches. In fact it already have a bit of that before I sold it. The original engine will do duty on the car till I find what I'm looking for. The original engine is still in perfect shape. Just needs a wash, oil change and replacement of some rubber hoses as a precaution.
