Sorry for not updating but the progress has been slow. My wife didn't get time to follow up as she was busy with other jobs. Car has got a coat of primer. Some tinkering work is still pending as the painter discovered during the prepping. Once that is sorted the painting will start. Here are some snaps.

Hi peter.

Congrats on buying back your uno,and happy as you had posted that you are trying to locate your RX100 so as to buy it back.
But i think you may have to spend much more to buy back that as the market value is high on RX100.

The Roof rail of WaghonR suits uno as it changes the plain flat look of the roof, just in case you think of a Roof rail.

Wish you good luck on your effort on bringing back your uno alive.

^^ At-least some update to revive this topic, let the process go smoothly, are you in the ship still?
Yea, still on board.

Not so sure about the RX as I have 2 Bullets and an Activa. So no parking place until I move into by new house.

I've seen Uno's with roof rails and it doesn't look good. Roof rails look good only on Tall Boy cars and Estates.

Thanks. Should be ready in a month depending on the painting. Have all the other parts ready.

Hi P3T3R,
Nice to see a FIAT Uno getting restored. I need an information about the AC condensor FAN which was used in this.
I think before some 4 or 5 years i have seen that fan. It have many leaves and the Air throw is efficient. May i know how much it costs.
Since i have checked in some shops and heard that it was not available.

I have no idea. Will check with my mechanic.

Meanwhile some more photos. First coat of paint is on and the engine bay is done. The engine will be fitted and then the final coat will go one before the re-fitting og the rest of the stuff.

Painting is complete. Will post the photos later today. The earlier plan was to do the first coat, mount the engine, then second coat and then fitting of other stuff. However the mechanic was out of station. So the painter finished the job. Now will tow the car to the mechanic's and he will start on the suspension overhaul and engine mounting. Same time the wheels will be removed for painting. Upholstry, AC & electrics will all be done and then the bottom painting and body polish.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I had to join the ship and I was stuck with a lot of work prior joining. Took me a few days to settle down on the ship and then we had a problem with the net. Just got it restored but it's really slow. Can't even quote posts, forget post photos. The car is now at my mechanics place. My wife has not got time to check but I'll update as soon as I can.
For fog lamps I can actually get the original ones here in Europe. In fact I was in Italy few days ago but it slipped my mind. The other option is to use the default location to mount a round lamp and a DRL strip over it. Something like the Laura VRS. I this I had posted an image somewhere earlier in this thread.
