How many kilometres on the engine? I wanted to buy the Uno when it was launched - was smitten by its square jawed stance and robust build - but then nothing really took off at the Kurla plant till the workmen finally decided to call it a day.

Thanks to the efforts of die-hard people like you, we still get to live a morsel of our dreams through your endeavours.

Can't wait to see the coolest Uno in Goa. Bring it on!

Totally forgot about that. Currently it's back with my friend with 2 Kayaks on the roof. My Bullet is also with him. Been too busy to go and get them.

The engine is in. The rear seat and passenger seat is ready. Just waiting for the driver seat and door pads. Then the final assembley will start.

I guess the car is complete. It is being worked on by Gaurish. Just waiting for my wife to update me with the snaps. BTW where in Margao are you from?

I am surprised so many working condition Unos survive in Goa. They have quietly disappeared from Major metro cities.
Actually a lot of people bought Uno's in Goa when it was available unlike most parts of India. Fiat, VW & Peugeot are popular brands as most people owned one of these during the Portuguese time.

Just wondering what does the coastal Goa climate do to the rusty Fiat sheet metal?
Nothing much. I only had rust in the driver footwell. That too beacause it was parked unused for over 2 years and water leaked in and soaked the carpet.

Here are the snaps.

This is getting really frustrating. The car is 99% ready. Only fitting of CV joints, badges and door mouldings is pending. Mechanic was not available due to Ganesh celebrations and soon after that some family member was sick so he is unable to come to the garage.
