Re: punto humour

On point 7; you can get this bumper sticker fitted (from ebay):
In India almost nothing works except the luck

Two more damages to pocket.

Lost the left side Fog lamp-A goat Hit .
I wonder why Goats and cows are left lose in Indian Road ? and surprising they feel tempted to cross the road quickly when some car is approaching.Dogs are already playing NFS and road rash across here.

Broke the I-rvm, it seems I tried too hard adjusting to wrong angels, the connecting rod snapped off.

@ jayadev: lovely, postcard-perfect photograph. Mail it to Fiat - maybe they'd find some good place to use it deservedly.

Is it only me or does the Punto actually look slightly like an Aston in this pic?

completed two years (Guarantee period is also finished)

Sad news.
my Punto is rusting.
Observed paint blister due to rust formation underneath at a very unlikely location..a close inspection may reveal more I suppose.

Rusting[surprise]. How is FASS reacting to it? IMO the issue should be sorted out under warranty since the car is not old enough for such an issue.

@jayadev: I am pretty sure that the Punto must be having a 5 year anti-rust and anti-perforation warranty. Please read the manual/warranty booklet and tell us some good news.

What does a car enthusiast do when he is on holidays...he will find some buziness with his beloved especially if the car is something like Punto .
this vacation I tinkered and painted those minor dents.

Yes I bought
compressor 30 l= RS12000
Pilot spray gun= RS2500
Pu paints 200ml =800 rs
thinner,water paper=Rs300
.
Yes it would be a clever thing if I did get it done out side for Rs1500, err but where is the fun in that?

Btw this adventure started out of previously mentioned Rust discovery which lead me to strip my car since a week one by one.
I think I am fortunate enough, there was no additional concern raising rust elsewhere to be found. unfortunately my trust towards TAss has gone down the drain.
here is the incident in brief
During the second service they rear ended my Punto while test drive . the bumper paint peeled off and but they gave me painted foc.

In search of rust when I removed the rear bumper ,for my utter disappointment the body too had sustained damage. (the red circle) the bottom purple circle was also deformed with the screw missing (Hell with you Tata service ).
the rust spot was in the blue circle. So it looks like rusting was due to mishandling by service center or body shop guys.

About my painting = Being Novice I learnt its no child play for that perfect finish. rather its a knack earned by practiced. first 100ml was wasted as the coat gave a sandy finish with nowhere glossy I had to sand it down to primer and repaint.
In second 100ml I added reducer a bit more and moved my hands more consistently across the area ..I feel now it looks acceptable, only a pro can distinguish how bad it finally is (of course I am also not very satisfied) but chalega (just alright) at least my wife and mom couldn't complain.

@ Sam ,I am sorry this wasn't the bigger update which I promised you earlier. but it is still in progress and nowhere near final so that I can reveal yet.

Wow that shows how you take care of your car. BTW which part have you painted ?

Good thing is you can also use the compressor to clean the interiors with high pressure air !

The blue circle area the Red circle area and right rear door and fender complete

when I say circled area I dont mean spot painting but paint needs to be feathered at least 1.5 feet to blend with and that is most difficult part.

Good thing is you can also use the compressor to clean the interiors with high pressure air !
Btw I bought a 100psi water jet cleaner too ,Skil make. Now cleaning the car, bike and scooter is at finger tip...bye bye to Mud and rust.

It is handy cleaning the slippery floor.[clap]
