How long is Kottayam from Thalassery and road condition?

Pics of your Punto have came well [thumbsup].
Hi Mukesh,

Kottayam to Thalassery (Kerala) is 332 km straight. Roads are good but crowded all the way.

But we did not go directly rather went via Palakkad,Ernakulam ,Aleppey ,Quilon . must say roads are definitely better than what I expected.

BTW we did go twice to kottayam by punto. one was for some official reason .

I have checked it with FASS -no issues, mine is 2010.

It never broke on the road yet, things replaced are :

clutch slave cylinder. (plastic to steel)
clutch plate.
pressure plate.
all free of cost.

I love doing something most of the time. I cannot or do not sleep in day time. I find myself regretting if I sleep in daylight hours.

So I was thinking what should I do next..and came a thought why not clean the interiors and I broke the armrest while hopping inside ...

so it needed the pax seats to be removed and I came an idea why not try some weight reduction technics..!![evil]

Nowadays I am not using the rear seats. I am loving it like that. it is definitely reflecting in fuel economy too .

Jayadev,
Is the seats permenantly removed.Well a nice idea to increase efficiency and it is greener too(maximum utilizing the precious fuel without wasting it).

Why don't you share us the magic fe numbers you got.I think performance would have gone up by a notch if the seats are that heavy.

Way to go Jayadev!

@ point city ,

Fuel efficiency was always impressive. it never did take away permagrin from my face .

Whenever I had to stop at a filling station I was more than happy to note how much well she delivered and how much does fiat care about pockets of poor men like me.

5000km in month of last Jan -feb returned 18+ mileage .

You should be well aware of kind of road we have in kerala plus the Ghats of calicut-Trichur and the Kochin to kottayam roads. onecan rarely go beyond 50kmph all the way .

Overall average speed remained 24kmph with FE of 18+, is awesome I must say, with full time AC.

With seats removed it wouldnt go below 27 kmph.

Excellent fe numbers Jayadev.

The fe is indeed very great, but the 27.9kmpl is just awesome.I never thought a rear seat removal would lead to such drastic differences in fe figures.

Our swift D(lighter than punto) returns less than what you achieved with 195 michellin rubber, may be because its driven sometimes with an heavy foot, but still,I am left speechless!(one punto is a heavy car, second it runs on a bigger wheel too 195 15inch)
