When I am too emotional or badly upset Avengy cannot help , only punto can.
She reminds me of "Taare zamin par(movie) " boy . bit slow bit arrogant , but highly talented and of out of world-all she needs is love and attention.

Front seat have been fixed . They threatened me and hid the keys away and agreed to return only if this car serves for one more person in home..so I was forced to fix the seat.
Sad to say she is not in Good shape anymore.
Wifey banged it to the wall in the porch (thank god our home is still intact).
the rear doors and right rear wheel fender is damaged and dented. bare metal is visible.

Yesterday another one.
the wheel alignment guys while doing TD damaged the rear bumper.they said an auto rickshaw hit and ran.
they returned the car with bumper painted, but the paint looks not so smooth and glossy as earlier.
Now planning to get all the repairs done somewhere...

I thought the front seat was present.Any difference in dynamics after the arrival of front seat?I was thinking how your family allowed to remove all the passenger seats.
They did not allow. He did it on his own and they threatened and forced him to restore the seats. Finally one seat restored after compromise.
Since door and fender are damaged and a bumper repair is desired, better to do it in Authorised Service center and claim insurance.

We have 5 mode of conveyance in home and don't believe in status or such nonsense related to it.(typical simple)
Punto car.-me and my wife.
Avenger bike-me and my brother .
Activa scooter-for Dad and mom.
2 bicycle one is mine and other is my wife's.
I still ride on my cycle, people do make fun of me riding a cycle at this stage of life but my argument is about your liking. when I want to do some pedaling I go for it.and we both do ride and roam around once in a while just for fun.
And at present we are on a project to modify it with gears suspensions leds,dynamo etc.
recently I came to Kannur pedaling all alone.(10km) It was refreshing my school day memory, when we used to ride more than 50km etc in cycle. I had one more buddy crazy like me.
Car is only used when we have some function where all family members have to attend else for long drives.(and for my unavoidable driving pleasure)
We do try to avoid long drive in car and opt for train but I am too much addicted to drive and discover.
of course we are very budget conscious too (do not like to waste resources)so we opt for bikes where the expense is equivalent to travel in bus,in Kannur we have plenty of bus.
So the family will never bother what I do with the car , that is my own toy.
Initially I thought to buy an SUV/uv but wouldn't had so much of fun.

Actually that was conspiracy of my better half. she couldn't take it, myself enjoying all alone and remaining 3 seats were laying in our drawing room making it look like furniture showroom. Family members united and the show..
They are demanding to fix the rear seats too but I said I have lost the nuts/bolts and new one will need to be imported from Fiat Italy which will take time. (ladies believed it)
Upon inquiry the painting was done in Tata workshop ,no wonder such a shoddy paintwork.
So for goodness sake...I have planned to do it outside.
One thing disappoints me that all the damages happened in my absence .

They (any workshop) do painting in two ways - one a quick job without matching the colours properly.
For real paint job, they should scan the colour from your car (normally they use the cover part over the fuel tank lid. It is easy to detach and scan.) Then colour mixing is done with scanned data as input.
In any bodyshop, you should be alert unless they are known to you.
Painting job done outside will be much cheaper than Authorised service center. But ensure that they do scanning and use the right paint. Manza paint costs Rs 8000 per litre. Punto paint cost also should be similar.
Once painting is done, ask them to wait for one week to do the polishing (of painted surface) for better results.

So your bumper painting should be OK after the polishing.
Painted surface will have that gloss and smoothness only after the customary polishing. It is infact the final stage in a painting job. Give better results if done after 3 to 4 days.
Clear coat is a final coat or top layer (it will be non pigmented) over the painted surface. Clear coat provide the gloss that we find in modern cars. It also increase the durability of paint and resistance to harmful effects of environment.

normal paint - just paint them on body - also known as solid paint
metallic paint - paint the colour , and again spray paint the clear coat over it.
for pearl , the pearl thing should be painted between paint and clear coat.
Hope my explanation is simple.
Clear coat gives the best output only if the car is sanded properly using what ever minute putty's available. Else it will magnify the dent.
