Hello @KK_HakunaMatata

Glad to know that you have got it. You are lucky I would say because me too couldn't find stock anywhere in online stores.

However, I already had 1 ltr stock with me and I have opened it last week and it will serve me for a year.

You have got a fresh bottle right? May I know the date of manufacture? If its really new then its good to know that the product is still available. [:)]

BTW; can do me a favor? Ask that dealer if he has Muc-Off Split Second Detailer Wax. 1 ltr or 500 ml. I doubt he will have it but if does then it be great.

Thanks...
Best Regards

Oh ho..! In the joy of getting the product, didn't bother to check the manufacturing date and now when I check, the date of import is Jan 2012. Checked with the dealer on the date and he is saying there is no problem.

Did not find the expiry date on the package also. What is the import date of the one which you have now?

Also he does not have the detailer wax and he will not re stock it.

You are right, Muc off products are not imported now and only sold what is in stock.

Regards,
KK

Hi DOC, Cracing, TSIvipul, KK and car lovers, Three Sundays myself and my mech beautified my car. We are just one step behind final step, that is finally applying natty blue. tomorrow Good Friday I will do that and post pictures. KK share me muc off dealer phone numbers. Regarding sonax gloss shampoo I have ordered it on autofresh but shipped locally i.e Bangalore. There are no German letters but says it is made in Germany. Performance is ok.

Oh I see

My first bottle which was bought in 2013 from a local shop and its DOM was 2012 and the second bottle I have now does not have any label stating DOM. Since I kept it sealed, it seems fresh. If yours is alteast sealed then you shouldn't have any issues using it.

Actually I had bought the second bottle from okloot website in 2015 but as the name says, they looted me partially. Had placed order for two items (Mac-Off Ubershine Car Shampoo & Muc-Off Split Second Detailer Wax) but after few days, the website got dead. I had phonic contact with the seller though and he sent me only the Shampoo after long wait and assured me refund for the other item but I didn't receive the refund and he stopped responding to my calls. It was approx Rs. 800 of refund.

However, it is a sad news for us to know Muc off products are no longer available. :frown:

Very good. Waiting to see the glaring pics of your beauty.

Dealer's name is Rajeev - 9886026581 (Hi Tec Cars). His shop is in JC Road. Once you enter the JC road through Minerva circle you have to take a left at the first signal (there is a tyre shop on the left side in the signal) and again take a left at Hotel Metro (this is may be just 100 mtrs after taking left), his shop is on the left side (may be 5th building) in the first floor.

You can refer my name (Krishna Kumar) and it is better to send him a Whatsup on the availability and he replies.

@ CRACING,

I guess all these are same batch products including mine. These are imported by Hi Tec Cars, Bangalore which is owned by the person I met yesterday.

Also how much of concentrate of Ubershine shampoo should be used. The instruction on the package is not too clear, it says "pull the cap upwards and squeeze the desired amount of Ubershine (we recommend 1 level measure per bucket depending on size of vehicle) into 4 liters of ideally warm water and mix......"

KK

Hi, I am applying natty blue over collanite 845 after a week. Should I wash car with ONR raw or with sonax gloss shampoo before applying natty blue. By the way what is the cure time of natty blue.

As i have understood, there is no need to apply Natty Blue over Collinite 845, since 845 itself is LSP. This has been posted by Dr. & CRACING as well I guess.

I have seen on autogeek and other detailing forums people are coating natty blue over collanite 845 which is supported by poorboys too.

Ah Yes, its is Hi Tec Cars. I saw their name printed in one of my Muc-off shampoo bottle. They are the only one who have imported and disturbed Muc-off products all over India. I think they also deal with few other international brands. e.g Sparco

Yes, instruction is not well written. I dilute 40 ml (+/- 10ml depending upon how much foam or cleaning ability I need ) into 4 ltrs of water. I keep shampoo level low to prevent stripping of wax or high when I want to apply fresh wax.

I would love to hear from DR. about his preferred dilution ratio.

Well, you'll find lot of people in Autogeek who applying multiple layers of different waxes. Its not bad thing but if you seek advice from detailing experts in the same forum. He says its really not necessary to apply multiple layers of different brand waxes. Single if not double layer of same brand wax is sufficient.

One wax gives different look then the other wax. I recommend to try both at different times (Not one above other) and see which ever you like so next time, you can buy the one you like. If you mix then you have to buy both products and mix it again, making it expensive and time consuming. Another thing is, how safely we could apply the 2nd coat. A little harsh in application, eek we ruined the previous coat! [surprise]

If you really want to apply another wax, wash the surface with shampoo or rinseless which has to no wax in it (keep the dilution ratio ratio minimal), thoroughly wipe the surface leaving no water residue and finally apply the wax using applicator pads.

Yes he deals with Sparco. Saw sparco products in his store and also Formula 1 products. He deals with many other car stuff.

If we want anything we can check with him, he can give a good price.

I have some minor scratches (on clear coat I guess) running the entire length of my car. Should I apply Meg compound over that? Will it be beneficial?

This is my plan:
Wash (angelwax) + compound(meg compound) + polish (3M perfect it)+ wax (Collinite 476)

Is this plan fine or I need something more to be added?

I think you should follow up with Megs Ultimate Polish after using Mags Compound. They work well each other.

If you have 3M perfect it, then try that alone and see whether the scratch go away. If not, next try will be Mags Scratch X. FYI, 3M perfect it is not a polish but a less abrasive compound.

I wouldn't go straight to compound, especially on Japanese cars (As these have thin paint finish) because its very likely to remove paint unnecessarily. You have German car so paint will be thick on it so you can try compound at last if no other less abrasive product help you.

Also compounds are best to be used with Polishing Machines and by hand, scratch repair products like Mags Scratch X are better.

Hi Doc, somewhere in your post I read your first preference is MF towel over Jopasu duster to clean dry car first, may I know what is the reason preferring MF Towel over Jopasu duster. There are conflicting reports on washing the Jopasu duster. Can we wash it if so how often.
