Awesome find Raja, the Interior look's well finished personally i would have preferred a premium black finish on the dash rather than this dull grey, it has a very good stance i am sure Indians will love this product.

Great photographs. Ford has already begun marketing activities for Ecosport abroad. Its rear legroom seems to be limited as in Fiesta Classic.

Even i find 2 row of seat's to be just adequate, but the boot look's much more usable this surely will eat into some of the C segment sedans market.

its because the seats are pulled all the way back iam sure it will be as spacious as the figo and more

Thank You for bringing some good photos of the much anticipated Ford Ecosport.
If Ford prices it in par with the other compact SUV's Ford Ecosport is going to be the winner.
There are many prospective buyers for this SUV. The only thing that is going to decide on this SUV is its "price".

If priced under 8.5L on road, it will be good. Anything more & people will shift to Scorpio or Storme.

Ford can price Ecosport competitively. It has many things going in its favour:

1. Aggressive localization. 70% localization at the start vis-a-vis 60% for Duster.

2. Since Ecosport shares many parts with Fiesta, so Ford can play the volume game (But sadly Fiesta's sale is disastrous)

3. Excise benefit (length being less than 4.0 m and with engine capacity less than 1.2 L (petrol) & 1.5L (diesel).

4. Petrol option. Ecosport in my opinion has good chance of selling the petrol variant since the engine offers phenomenal efficiency (winner of the engine of the year). This is in contrast to Duster whose decently priced petrol variant has almost no chance of selling.

But knowing how Fiesta screwed the pricing of Fiesta, nothing can be predicted. I seriously hope that Duster gets a lukewarm option so that Renault is forced to slash its price. This in turn will revise the price benchmark for Ecosport.

Ultimate thrill will be if Storme can spoil the Duster party with a sub 10 Lakh prices.

If wishes were the horses !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ford should price it very competitively as it is largely relaying on Ecosport for india. Ford please learn form Fiesta's market response , though a good car but not been into many homes.
Ford has to learn from Honda's as they were also reluctant to price reduction and adamant on diesel fuel models. But thanks to competition, Honda reduced prices of Jazz, City.. and rest is history. If Honda with Diesel mills for jazz, city , brio, infact for all its product ranges would do wonders for the brand and reposition its stake in indian market.

Competition hotting up in sub Suv segment, Ford should launch Ecosport very competitively and storm the market, resulting huge market share. Indian being a huge market where most of the decisions are form word of mouth , hence this would definitely help ford to regain its stance.
Ford look out for Ertiga, Renault Duster, Honda's MPV , GM's Micro Suv, etc learn from your mistakes and run business profitable.

If Stome comes below 10L, not only ecosport but duster, scorpio & maybe even XUV W6 can be hammered by Stome Vx. Ofcourse, those who want 5+2 seats, may not opt for storme in lieu of W6.

And it will be even worse as this ecosport is aimed at not proper UV buyers but hatch-back buyers & this is the most sensitive price market where even metallic & non-metallic color difference of 4k changes the color of the car.

Btw this prices are not applicable in India . The entry level Honda city in brazil is 56,000 so don't worry about the pricing in brazil the markets and currency and economy is differnt in brazil then India .

So the launch should be near. I do not like the looks at all. It seems too narrow and too high- at least in the pictures. Small headlamps and that big (radiator?) grille- looks like a Chinese man with a severe case of mumps. The only relief is the spare tyre mounted on the boot but that too clearly looks like an add-on.

Well, no point in being too greedy, I guess. You can't have it all.
