I saw it only for a few seconds and lost it in traffic. First impressions - it was pretty wide, as wide as any of the 20 lac SUVs (Captiva, CRV and the like), but not very tall. I thought it was just as tall as the Yeti or maybe a few mm more. It is surely a head turner for price range of < 10 lacs.

What has still not come out is the interiors. There is speculation that it will be similar to the new Fiesta, but other reports that say it will be all new. I would be disappointed if the quality of door plastic is the same as Fiesta. Have to wait and watch.

Wow that's great news if it's as wide as the captiva or Honda crv [clap]..
Interiors we will able to see mostly by 22 or 23 of this month because ford is going to present the production ready model to the media in brazil and on 23 most likely in china auto show so we can have a idea about how the interiors will be .
Though even like you I wish they don't make it like the fiesta , iam more worried they don't price it like feista what say ?

Pricing is the most important aspect here. If priced like new fiesta, it will be killed by Storme. At the end of the day, who will buy compact UV for the price of full size UV ?

See what you say I agree and you must also consider there are many who are not comfortable with the bulk of strome and Scorpio and many think it won't be easy to drive, some have parking space problems too
. Ecosport is based on a monocoque platform so it will drive and Handel very much like a sedan , looks very modern and will easily seat 5 people in comfort and most IMP will have better fuel economy and being a ford it will be drivers delight too .
But again like you said if ford screws up the pricing then people will just not buy . Strome, Scorpio is for a different segment people who may not even consider ecosport atall . Ecosport is for people who will upgrade from a hatch or a premimuim hatchback who want the same ease to drive yet a modern car with a suv look .
If you ask me I want a strome but family says why do we need such big suv buy a ecosport or duster .

Ecosport is in brazil from 2004 which is a best seller for so many years for ford . More over the team from brazil have designed the ecosport . So the market is all set for the ecosport there already . It's same when maruti Suzuki launchestheir product in India first which is designed here , Renault did the same with pulse they launched it here first as it was deigned by the team here .
Atleast s class we will be able to see how it looks from inside right ? Since its a global product the basics will be same just features will change according to countries .

Fuel economy of a 1 litre

You’ll be hard-pressed to find better fuel economy than the 1 litre EcoBoost petrol engine. It gives you close to 20 kilometres per litre so you can go further on one tank. That’s up to 20% less fuel compared to a traditional 1.6 litre petrol engine, while still delivering similar power. (A diesel engine is also available.)

Power like a 1.6

When it comes to power, the turbocharged 1 litre EcoBoost can compete with a traditional 1.6 litre petrol engine, delivering full torque at just 1500rpm. That’s a lot of power in an economical 3 cylinder footprint. But that’s what makes it so exceptional.
