Last row Seats

With last row down you have AMPLE of space and can put as much stuff as you want.
SDC10505.jpg

not much leg room for the third row
SDC10508.jpg

Whereas the second row legroom is just amazing. My brother is around 6.1 - 6.2 and see how much room is available in the second row.

AC vents for the second row are on the pillars

First thing your ride needs are the side steps for your parents which makes ingress and out easy, opt for the rubber metal ones which looks pretty good and are better grippers as well comparing to regular metal foot boards.

Congratulations Singhji for your Draco. Wonderfully presented the details.Last time when I was in India ,I did TD XUV5OO. It was very hard for me to believe that both Scorpio and XUV are being manufactured by the same company. A Great VFM vehicle.

Thanks buddy and yes it has a lot of features available for the given price which definitely makes it a VFM.

Wow. Awesome pics. Especially the one in the night with the headlights on.:biggrin:
I guess silver colour has different colour interiors isnt it? Also dont go for any extra useless accessories like the chrome package and the door strips. They ruin the look of the cheetha. Also I footsteps spoils the macho look of XUV. But do get one if your parents complain.

Do update us regarding the fe too.

Also as of now i have only decided to upgrade the speakers to component speakers.

Will see if i require to add side steps, if required by my parents.

@Singh

Pics are really good and in detail

I like its front looks very much, but rear looks really bad
I feel that there are too many lights glowing ODO area !!
The third row legroom is really pathetic and I would have liked only two jump seats instead of those !![:)]

Hmm, the garden at your house is really good man, more than your Draco

Glad you liked the pics sirji

And to some extent i feel that front is very well designed but Mahindra could have worked more efficiently on the rear part of the vehicle, as it looks bit boring comparing to the front.

Also i guess if they would have reduced the legroom on the second and first row by even a small margin, than third row would have a little bit more legroom for the third row.

Re: DRACO - Mahindra XUV 5OO-W8: Ownership Review

@Singh:
Sorry for being late, now accept my congoz for XUV.
No doubt, XUV is the best overall package one can buy under 20 lac.
BTW, the car is in UP..hehe, so you can safely install the sunfilms, no cops even bother to give a look to towards them until they are jet black.
Same way the heat has nearly settled in Delhi too and I have myself observed that cops now don't pay attention until the tints are too dark.
IN OTHER WORDS....XUV NEED TINTS!!

Buddy the third row only looks so much cramped, you can even fit a 5'3" girl there and she will be happy too(experienced it personally). But yes, the height must not exceed this limit.

Now please do one favor:
Ask your brother to once push it in third gear and then tell me how he felt the thrust between 70-110 kph, I am sure he will be mad and same will be with you. XUV FEELS LIKE A JET AT THAT TIME and since your brother is of our age(I guess) so he can easily do it, or maybe have done it but not telling you.[;)]

Re: DRACO - Mahindra XUV 5OO-W8: Ownership Review

@Singh,

Yes, you are perfectly right, yes they could have done something on the rear to make it better than merely looks like a box shape.

Yes, its a good idea to reduce little bit on the legroom of 1st and 2nd row would have given proper space for 3rd.

But apart from these, the seats position, the hand-rest, cooler in the compartment and 2nd row A/C vents are awesome [clap]

A very good effort from M&M !!

Thanks buddy and good wishes are always welcome[:)]

And definitely i feel the same that under 20L, XUV is an overall and wonderful package.

Secondly our XUV will be used 95% times for highway trips and out of that 90% trips will be to Noida, Delhi, Gurgaon and Faridabad. So Tints out of question and i don't want to waste money on them just to take them off if caught. So i'll wait until the govt. changes the law.

Buddy the third row only looks so much cramped, you can even fit a 5'3" girl there and she will be happy too(experienced it personally). But yes, the height must not exceed this limit.
That's so true. One of my relative has a XUV and they just did a trip from Delhi-Lucknow-Delhi and there were 2 people sitting in the third row (Height around 5'3"-5'4") and there was no complain from their side.

So yes 5'3"-5'4" is the maximum height and a comfortable one as well for the third row.

Now please do one favor:
Ask your brother to once push it in third gear and then tell me how he felt the thrust between 70-110 kph, I am sure he will be mad and same will be with you. XUV FEELS LIKE A JET AT THAT TIME and since your brother is of our age(I guess) so he can easily do it, or maybe have done it but not telling you.[;)]
Ohh.. He did that with the TD vehicle and yes he was really happy with the performance and pick-up.

Yes KUDOS to Mahindra for their effort and providing all those features at such a great price.

Nice pics Singh.

2 Questions?

  1. In one of the pic, I can see two lights on ORVM. One is surely for left/right turn indicator. What is other one for?
  2. I have seen many XUVs with the alloy of the type given here. Have MnM stopped providing those alloys? Those alloys look so nice. Samurai Alloys I call them. [:D]
