That material has a different name.

Its used for heat insulation.

Very common in bigger cars.

Can't remember the name though

but the shopkeeper told its thermacol foam.
i did this on my boot now the interiors are little quite. no engine noise. i think this is a must have on nano.

now after completing all the doors and boot there is almost zero noise in the cabin. even the horn sound or the train moving when you wait in the railway crossing is much reduced

The only problem is during the rains.

Be sure not to block any escape paths for the water to exit the door frame.

yup. at the bottom of the doors. i didn close that.

The only problem for this kind of sound deadening is water.

When this material absorbs water or blocks its flow it leads to rust.

I am back after a productive weekend, did some DIY on my Alto like removed sun films and dampen doors with thermo form. Rattling reduced a lot, but still I am hearing some sounds inside!

Dint you stick the foam inside the door ? Because it also controls lots of rattling noise.
