Thanks Wildon. Any more info's decodable from that VIN? Booked a month back and now it has reached the showroom. Bank formalities are being done to pick it up as soon as possible :)
Do lemme know if anything in specific to check before delivery.

Can you please help decoding a sample VIN from Mahindra Scorpio. I have booked one and is going to arrive soon.
It will help me decode when the Sales Manager provides the VIN

Is it really safe to reveal our Vehicle Identification Numbers on a public forum? Also, Wildon has listed a real easy way to decode the VIN of our vehicles http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...ecoding-vehicle-information-number-vin-4.html Can we try it ourselves before posting our individual queries?

This makes life lot easier to many.
If you want to get your car's production date, month and year in a Jiffy here it is.
Its applicable to VW, Skoda, Audi and Ford.
1. Select your desired brand
2. Enter your 17 character VIN
3. Enter your email id
4. Click submit, Viola
The basic information can be accessed at free of cost

This makes life lot easier to many.

But guys i still insist on not revealing the last few no of VIN.
For Ex: MAT611460BPA0xxx3 instead of MAT611460BPA01563
While entering info on other websites follow this practise.
