Yes, of course but I have one more a question to you. Is this important that ZEN was with carburettor but my(ONE) is with MPI(Multi Point Injection)?
I ask about it because Suzuki One is "1.0 i " Aren`t there any more differences between thsese cars?

I have seen my New SKODA FABIA at dealer's showroom. chasis number provided is TMBFRM5J3AG018459
We want to confirm the manufacturing year as we have booked the car with 2011 model.
Anyone can give the detail from the above chassis number?

In addition to 350Z post, the actual production date of this vehicle is 23.01.2011 and its a Fabia Ambiente. The model year of this Vehicle is 2011, but on the RC book it will show as December 2010 vehicle as RTO look only the Month and Year code in the VIN.
M= December
A= Year 2010

Thanx for the reply wildon and 350Z. Does the RTO look at road worthiness certificate or the VIN/Chassis number only??
Does people in Indian RTO know on how to decode the VIN numbers for all the cars?
Is the process automated or scripted in there system. What i heard was that Model on RC is defined from Form 22. So to confirm that my RC will have model as 2011, what should i ask the Dealer for before we go for registration or insurance - Form 22 or any other document?
(Delivery is expected in coming two days on subject of loan disbursment.)

. Although the car is manufactured on Nov 10 i got it delivered on Dec 27 with just 23 KM on the ODO. So it is kind of factory fresh
The model i have is sportz(option). It looks like Hyundai does not differentiate between Sportz and Sportz(option) when encoding their VIN

Thanks for sharing the story.
But we are confused.
We want to confirm the manufacturing year as we have booked the car with 2011 model and already waited for 2 months for the same. We have not taken the delivery yet because of this confusion only. The dealer has "Verbally" ensured the 2011 model. He has shown us the form 22 but manufacturing year was not mentioned.
What else we can check on or before PDI. Meanwhile we are holding the balance payment from our end because we were very clear to the dealer about the manufacturing year at the booking time only and we waited long for the same.
We dont want to be cheated like another fellow. we are already loosing faith on our dealer. what should we do? please advice.

Don't take anything in Verbal. Ask the dealer and company to confirm this in writing.
Check Form-21 and Form-22 before making payments and also make sure that documents are not tampered.
If you have any source in RTO please do check there also.
I'm giving you another VIN of Fabia which i got it for decoding.
see the 6th and 10th Charactors , its clearly saying its a January 2011 make vehicle without leaving any doubts.

tomorrow we are again going for car's pre delivery inspection..we will check the paper work. I just hope that form 21 is having 2011 model for our car.

We have visited showroom today. The dealer has shown us the form 21(we got a copy thru cam scanner-attached). Year of manufacture is mentioned as Jan 2011.
I hope now we can take the satisfactory delivery of the car. We are in process to clear the balanced payment.
Is something else we need to check???
