Cost of LED lights?

Hi

I was looking to light up my computer cabby and I need the LED strips used to give underglow neon effect in cars. How much is approximate cost of such strips in New Delhi?

Sorry mods if this is in wrong section.

Re: Need help

need help for putting these on my car

for putting these do i need to cut the wires means voiding my cars warranty or it can directly fitted down
Logo looks very very good.

can you tell me how it has been done?
and yes, it will effect warranty. but you can take supply directly from battery and put a fuse & toggle switch for ON/OFF the lights.

I don't have any idea about the prices in Delhi, But in B'lore it costs you 200 per meter (60 led's) (water proof)[:)]

These days SMD LEDs and POWER LEDs can also be found in the market

Different LED have different working voltage which may vary on the size, shape

Infrared ΔV < 1.63
Red 1.63 < 2.03
Orange 2.03 < 2.10
Yellow 2.10 < 2.18
Green 1.9 < 4.0
Blue 2.48 < 3.7
Violet 2.76 < 4.0
Purple 2.48 < 3.7
Ultraviolet 3.1 < 4.4
Pink ΔV ~ 3.3[62]
White ΔV = 3.5

LED s with four Legs are Tri-colour LEDs.

One of the terminal is -ve and other 3 are +ve for 3 different colours
Not all tricolors got 4 legs and not all 4 leggers are tricolor [evil]

1. Tricolors got 4 legs.
2. Tricolors got no 4 leg, but only 2 legs. Independent color not chosable, they blink on their own.
3. Some SMD and superflux LEDs. They are 4 legged. 2 positive and 2 negatives. Actually 1 positive and 1 negative split to 2 for easy mount on PCB.

This reminds me of the reasoning questions in entrance exams. [:D]

You are truly correct that not all tri-colors have 4 legs.

Some tri-colours haev 4 legs

Friends, Need a help.

Iam trying to connect series of LED in blank PCB board. Pls let me know one thing. Should have to solder one by one or put all LEDs at stroke and then solder it?

Both methods can be used. It depends which one suits you. If you place all LED's in the board and solder it all together, please check the polatiry (+, -) of the LED else the circuit may get wrong. One by one method is better in my opinion, as chance of polarity mistake is less.

Thanks Guru[;)]

Just another info, Should I have to fold the LED leg until it touches the floor of PCB and do the same with other LEDs leg and solder it together or some other way. Do u have a picture of LED legs soldered?
