@Vishwas

Enjoy will be perfect fit for your requirements as you told while our meet and Quanto may not be a good choice according to me. Again as you said the pricing is the key and tax is more in Bangalore. So if the base variant comes below 8.5 to 9 OTR then still it is a best bet for you.

Enjoy should be worth a wait.

Are you sure you want to buy a Quanto[confused]. To me it looks a bit awkward. Also it seems from outside the vehicle CG is not proper (like Sumo).

.
This is my subjective opinion, i quite like the looks of the quanto except its side profile, I'm not worried about any aspects as it suits me well.

You could have still seriously considered Ertiga/Eeco
Now Ertiga is out of my mind as i feel Evalia/Enjoy does offer me the best 7 seater image, ertiga somehow doesn't please me, also buying another MS really bores me too.

Eeco! Man I'm not going to drive that bumpy match-box again, FYI we had that only for 8 months.

Quanto is a perfect choice for my family but somehow uneasy for dad, so if Enjoy is coming in that price range i won't see Quanto at all! simple :)

Okay made up our mind to buy the Chevy Enjoy as it fulfilled mine and my dad's requirements and parameters, but still waiting for the prices to be released. So our confusion has come down to a greater extent where the thread title is now changed to
Chevy Enjoy VS Mahindra Quanto.

We still have time to choose till June 14th as it is the time for buying and i have to sell my beloved my alto in the mean-time and get the funds ready.

Seems like the base model would come to 8.50 lakhs as expected.

Did you and your dad drive the enjoy ?
Yes we both did and was impressed with the driving sense the enjoy has and chevy has done a good job in this part.

@Vishwas

Also add Ertiga on the list and add poll too[:)]
Ertiga is way beyond the budget and not to my liking(would prefer Evalia though).

Hi Vishwas,

In your budget(8 L) you can now easily go for the Ls 7 Seater Diesel. So when in the test drive?

Hi Pras, sorry i was not very active these days, i already took the test drive and impressed by the space and satisfying performance. Yes if we are buying it will definitely be the LS 7 str.

Our plans was to book this weekend, but we are not ready yet to go for which car and my father is busy in his work, might get delayed.

Meanwhile this Quanto is bugging us a lot when considering enjoy and here's why:

1) Both are 7 seaters, where Enjoy is longer and Quanto is shorter which is good for city driving.

2) Quanto has good GC compared to Enjoy and there's nothing to worry about if you miss a bump, also add the abuse friendly nature. (Remember my dad doesn't handle the car smoothly).

3) The base model retails at 7.50 lakhs excluding discounts (OTR Bangalore) with a/c and ps (which is enough for our needs) and the enjoy is 8.30 Lakhs OTR without any discounts which will definitely come to 8.50 lakhs with extra fittings and all.

4) Like i told earlier we need a 5+2 seater and not full fledged 7 seater, that comes to just travelling, because we don't care too much about comfort.

5) Where enjoy scores over Quanto is its MJD and spaciousness, but everything comes for a price.

6) Heard Mahindra cars has service intervals of 5k kms as opposed to 10k kms of the Enjoy. Need people to confirm this.

In the open market both are UVs. While we have nothing in mind other than these two for now.

Yes its an apt replacement of our Versa, but Quanto also many potential.

Here we are again in a big state of confusion, thinking of [frustration].

Re: Chevy Enjoy LS 7str or Mahindra Quanto C2?

The 5k ones are just "check up" services. Oil changes and stuff happens every 10k.
great! thank you for the rescue because its the diesel for us first time and i do not want to see the raising bills, i am eyeing for the Quanto right now why?

Its good to drive around cities for it has a massive road presence and some wicked dream of putting fat tyres with front bull bar hung up with two big eyed hellas [evil].

I was told by my friend that chevy's A.S.S will trouble you with the huge service bills with him being an ex-owner of optra magnum.

Also the GM's halting production on Sail and U-VA for the diesel mill problem is loosening my faith on Enjoy worrying where it might also come under some problem in the future.

So the pole is leaning towards Quanto as of now, yet i am not ready for the stiff ride it has.

Look's like Quanto is going to win the race, if i was in the market with your exact requirement and budget, even i would go for Quanto over enjoy purely for the road presence it carries,GM service centers are supposedly very notorious in Bangalore, couple of my friend who owns GM products are really finding it hard to find a good ASS.

Point taken, so GM's A.S.S isn't the best around Bangalore. As a family man point of view i would choose the Enjoy over the Quanto anyday, but as i am young now, felt Quanto would feel good, no i'm not concerned on how it handles because we are not a rally drivers to gauge these, let us see what happens.
